Extra Long Flowering Lifesavers?

ok, so I am confused. I have some lifesavers. 2 girls . they started 12/12 on 3-26 thats about 60 days. I am still not seeing amber trichs. Well, one or two here and there. I am at about 80/20 cloudy. Was expecting to harvest sat/sun. The extra long flower time has me at ends. I dont know what to do. These are supposed to be 45-50 day'ers. suggestions?

give the the time they need to finish. if you start the flush the<y should understand that it's time to ripen up. once about 10% of the trichome heads are ambre and the rest are milky, your good to go. how do the calyx hairs look? are they 90% brown.

gaius thanks for the help. The hairs are deff 90% brown, i have a little less than 10% amber trichomes Last I checked. I am going to check tonight, if all is well then they are comming down. Today is day 63.

yo, pure, where did you buy your seeds.....I heard there were some bunk seeds on the flow of bog's.......apparently plan-b collective is the only place where you can get real bog seeds....unless gypys got a backup stock....but thats just my 2 cents

Update: Just checked trichs, 95%cloudy, 4%clear,1% amber. 90% of hairs of turned. Havent goten feed in about 3weeks, maybe more. Some of the leaves have started to yellow.

post a pic if you can....I've heard peeps online claim to have gotten the wrong genetics when ordering bogs.....I can't vouch for that personally though

the trouble with hearing loads of bullshit, bias, fairy tales and unsubstantiated negative shit about someone or a strain is that eventually a few people will start to believe it and will start reposting the bs gossip as fact...

sadly, planetganja.com, the site you probably heard most of those rumors, was once an ok little site but has now been overun with hysterical nonsense, lies and other ultra negative crap...it's now a site where the rat finks, gossipers, back-doorers, splittists, the insane, the easily lead, bloated egos and burnt-out canna web wankers ..alot of them were the riff-raff from OG..all with a chip on the shoulder who uniformally have this psychotic anger dually towards any former OG admin and with GN as well!...this affliction seem contagious, don't go there ..lol

..this is the site where these sorry sad sacks congregate and stroke each other......yes, you can go to planetganja and feel free to rat on someone, feel free to lie and feel free to post someone's real name for all to see...you won't catch me there, not in a million years....

I'ver never grown Lifesaver, but have smoked it......it certainly is strong..I'd rate it 8+ on the potency scale, but didn't have much of a duration to the high.

I don't know what the case was with BOG's strains..but most strains are advertised by breeders with "optimistic" flowering times.....many quote flowering times of mature and well established clones from the earliest pheno in hydro!, not flowering times from the average seedling in soil!..call it poetic licence! ...and also keep in mind that it's important to maintain maximum plant health and vigor throughout the plant's entire life cycle or the harvest can be delayed

my friend who grew Lifesaver said seedlings vegged for 6 weeks finished around 60 days of 12/12 (from memory!)...I'd say next time around with clones (you did take clones, didn't you?) should reduce the flowering duration from 50 ~ 55 days...who knows?, you might even get an earlier pheno when you have it "dialed" in?.....

anyway..don't harvest those plants because your calender told you to..don't harvest until thecalyxes have fully swelled and are covered in resin..then wait a week!...also, with a new strain it's best to harvest in stages, that way you'll be able find out the best high

I would post a few excerpts from other forums that go int o detail about the issue.

I do not want to be banned here, however I do feel there is some information availble at another site (PG) posted by Vegas, from PlanB collective the only official representives of BOG's gear, according to BOG himself, as there was some issue about the beans being ligit, that are offered here on SB .

I am not certain, but since we are speculating, and I have read BOG's comments and PlanB's where BOG is a member, that I bring this issue to your attention, and if censorship is required to cover up the theories, then the truth hurts.

If the rumors are bollox and the beans are good, then no problem, however I recommend talking with BOG about them first to verify and authinicate, if you are in doubt, he is on over at bcbd as is PlanB who can she d light on the matter, as I would post soem excerpts from posts, as mentioned above, however not my place or space!

If you were the best grower in the world and had everything dialed in perfectly, it would take you 50 days to flower it. Most of the time, growers haven't got absolutely everything perfect so add days accordingly for feeding wrong, too little light, too little ventilation etc...

I would say you have a 60 day flowering strain so give it another 10 days till minimum harvest time and add another 5 days till it is fully mature.

I harvested too early the first few times too.

And let it cure, if it wasn't fully mature yet it will ripen further in the jars still.

Well I have another 5 days for the water cure, and my girls are 2 days in to reveg, so i figure late sept for my next harvest if the revege works out. Smoked some popcorn bud, and it was pretty good.
