These are pictures of my neighbor's plants. I gave him some Candyland x Apollo, he's growing them out.
Everything was normal, until we got out the magnifying glass to do the Peeping Tom routine, and check out the sex organs.
Where we were expecting to find nascent pistils or pollen bumps -
GROW TIPS !
2 extra sets of grow tips - at almost every inter-node (will get a better count on that.)
The terms "Tri-ploid" and "Quadra-ploid" seem to imply things about genetics that we don't know at this point.
He had a friend over, also with some experience. That friend seemed to think it was a sign of female genetics, said he had seen it before, and summarized it as "you got 4 females."
I figure botanists have a term for this - when sex organ sites output growing tips.

One guy went ahead and coined the term "Quadra ploid".
However, I think it's a little premature to make that call.
First picture shows it.
Second picture shows the grow set up, 4 Candyland x Apollo, now about 16 inches high. About 40 days old.
What do botanists call that type of growth ?
