exhausting air into attic?

hello all im looking to exhaust air into my attic so i got up there and had a look and there is heat insulation all between the wood beams and it was pretty damn warm up there too about 78 degrees fahrenheit

ill be exhausting 2 lots of growroom air from 2 different growrooms that will be about 86 degrees fahrenheit each is this safe ? if the hot air stays insulated up there it could start a fire right?

any help on ways around this would be greatly appreciated

454 degrees faranheit = the flash point of paper. So you should be ok.

So, where is the air going to vent ? between tiiles ? That will look so dodgy to any chopper looking for burglars or escaping car thieves, I am pretty sure this is how a mate got caught in the UK recently.

Can you not tap into a chimney ? It looks so normal to anybody looking at the area with a IR camera and gives your smelly exhaust a nice exit meters above inquisitive noses ..... I grew for years without Carbon scrubbers or Ozone in total safety by exhausting through chimneys. [Neither product was available back then anyway....]

only concern would be mold, if you have high humidity its somethin to watch for.

LOL, I am sure I remember a story of a house handed back to the landlord that was found to need a new roof, a grower doing just this had rotted all the timbers up there.

Your attic space should have vents, so blowing the air up there shouldn't be a problem. (I suppose you could have an attic space with no vents, but that would have to be some real funky construction.) Actually, blowing the air up there will keep your house warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

86* is really nothing when talking about attic heat. During the summer, in a hot climate, attics will get every bit as warm as a sauna.

As long as there's not a major overpressure situation happening, your major concerns should be humidity and condensation/indoor precip in the winter. If it's winter and you are in a cold clime, the hot, humid air of the exhaust would hit the cold attic air and lose moisture, which could condensate, freeze or even precip out like snowfall (ever camped out in a tent in the winter?)

What he said. Condensation causes mold. It's in the building code. Technically you should vent through the soffit or roof. I would go with a chimney. Or you could get one of the anti-blowback y pipes and tap it into your dryer exhaust. MMMMMMM Tide fresh.

i dont know about where you are at but here we all have attic fans that kick on on warm days to vent the attic out along with vents front and back. you should be straight.

thanks for all ur reply's everyone ok i see where ur going with the ventilation unfortunately i dont have a fan in my roof that exhausts hot air out or a vent it out its just passive where the beams finish into the guttering of the roof which catches the leaves so it rises from that i take it

i mean i gotta live in this house so i dont want my roof to collapse i might need it one day u never know

after reading comments im thinking of exhausting beneath the house where its cool only thing is id be cutting up the carpet guess i could just keep the cutouts and glue em back oneday lol

oh well im sure ill figure something out many thanks again for all ur input guys

Another thing to consider is depending on how much heat you are venting up there if you live in a snowy environment you could be tipping off LEOs and rippers who have learned to check for roofs lacking snow in spots that appears to have melted off. But those are fairly large grows.
