exhaust for a lil gl40 w/cfl's

i just bought a growlab 40 (16"x16"x3.11') its the little one
im just going to have a mother and her babies in it, 3-4 cfl's, and a 6" clip fan.

what do i need to do for exhaust? i know a 4 inch vortex would exhaust the
hell out of this tiny space, but i am looking for a cheaper alternative.

if i use a 4" inline duct fan (the ones that are used as booster in ducting)
would this be enough to exhaust/circulate air in my tent.

i realize that a vortex and speed controller would be best option.
but would much rather go cheaper if i can

oh and im only gonna grow in fall/winter so ambient temps will be low

I also wonder how to exhaust such a small tent. I suspect as more folks give these micro tents a try, someone will come up with the ideal solution.

Here are some possibilities:

And a related thread here:

I suppose a can filter 705 matched with a 40cfm PC style fan (or a seriously throttled mixed flow fan, or perhaps even a cheap duct booster fan) might be the best solution

you will be fine with an 4" -80cfm duct fan..there cheap and should be more then enough for that lill tent.. im going to try and stick a remote ballast 150w hps in a GL40

Will you be using a carbon filter...if so you might want to think of getting an inline centrifugal like a 4" vortex or a 6" S&P mixed vent. Can Fan does make a filter for use with axial fans but I am not sure if it would suit your area or how long it would last (the fan and filter that is).

Take a look at the fan thread in my sig if you want some computer fan suggestions. They will easily exhaust that if you get the right fan, with or without a scrubber. Peace.
