Exhaust fan/Carbon scrubber????

I was wondering if someone could recommend a small exaust fan, hopefully the size of a pc fan, that I can use in combination with a carbon scrubber I'm gonna make to fit. The thing is I just wanna make sure the fan will have enough power to pull/push air through the scrubber. Also was looking for a recommendation on the air flow: should I push or pull?
Just so you know the size of cab I'm working with the dem. are as follows:
36in T
30in W
20in D

Thanks in Advance

You're not going to have alot of success trying to cool that area (with an appropriate sized light like a 250w) with PC fans...go with a 4" Vortex and a small scrubber and you'll be much happier with the results.

Depending on the size of your space, a DIY carbon scrubber and a 6" inline duct booster from home dipshit, works great. I have a 80 cu foot cab and it works great. Can't smell a thing at the exhaust port.

If you need to use a PC fan, I would pull with it. You would probably only get away with a pad filter though. They're in the air cleaner aisle at home dipshit. Trimmable sheets. Work for TINy spaces and seedlings that may smell a bit funky.

There is a guy on ebay selling 4 or 6" axial (pc style) carbon scrubbers. Maybe adapt an idea from him. I wouldn't pay his price though.

Later.

any carbon srcubber diy or store bought are rated by cfm's.most srcubber need over 100 cfm's to work. The pc fans at best 35cfm.bigger is better up to a ponit.
Peace

My cab is 27.5w x 14d x 34t and I use a 125mm (5") inline fan and carbon filter, moves around 250m3/hr and is mated to a 240m3/hr carbon filter.

Filter is very small, squeezed into the cabinet no problem.

Of course its not under much strain, only cooling 220watts of mixed HPS/CFL, I figure it would be able to cool 300 or so no problem in that space, in a bigger cab it would be able to handle a 400watt no problem.

Its maybe a bit overkill, I need to get a speed controller for it because at full speed its definitely noticeable but i'd recommend the setup... of course I could have probably got the same effect by building something myself but the time and effort saved was worth the money. The filter is just a cheap model, designed to last a year or so, maybe longer in my case because it only has to filter the smell of a couple of plants.

I agree you'd struggle to find a pc fan that can push enough air to use one of these sorts of carbon filters, have a look on wormsway.com though - they sell a Can Carbon Filter 705 (if i remember correctly) rated at 37cfm or something... might be enough for your needs.

Be careful of buying a fan rated for exactly the CFM rate you think you're going to need: buy one that's overpowered by at least 33-50% and leave it on ½ strength instead of the exact-rated one left on high all the time. Helps w/ temperatures, energy usage, and fan lifespan.

If it's from HD, you found a duct booster fan...definitely not the same as an inline (like Vortex, Elicent, etc), but they can work for smaller setups if you oversize the fan.
