im going back to Ocean Forest next grow but im still curious if this is Phospurus def like stiches guide shows.. anyways thanks for you input..

Looks like a POTASSIUM def.. not Phos..
Also I would say you POT numbers are kinda low compared to your nitrogen and phosphorus.
I assume those are the numbers of the fert u are using... I would only suggest that around 3wks start adding a bloom booster that has high potassium

this is a guess on my part but to me it seems like a potassium problem :2cents:

Hmmmm....seems more like they are using up stored N from the fans. Usually with a phosphorus def, the edges just get brown and krinkly. You have yellowing between the veins. Some strains will use up the larger fans as fuel during flower. Maybe you just have a N hungry strain. Did this start from the bottom and work it's way up? Is it vigorously using up the fans? I'm not familiar with coco...so maybe someone with that experience will chime in.

K and Mg look to be deficient, to me, more Mg than K.

Mg deficiencies show Interveinal chlorosis on older leaves. Symptoms of Mg deficiency occur first on the lower leaves. There is chlorosis of tissue between the veins, which remain green, and starting from the tips the blades die and usually curl upward, a sure indication of Mg deficiency is that a good portion of the leaf blades die and curl.

i as well believe it to be a K def. With a nitrgoen def the overall plant would be lighter green and wilted looking. K results in a browning of the edges which spreads into the entire leaflet. Do the affected leaves fall off rather easily without much pull?...this is a sign of K def. what was your pH as well? should be around 6 i have found. hope this helps...

the leaves never curl up...

do i just need to feed veg nutes in the first weeks of flower along with my flower nutes to fix this? like I said im going back to foxfarm ocean forest which never gave me problems....its this whole soilless thing that keeps me guessing

i hope I was clean about the part of this def...it starts in the second week of 12/12 and stops about the third....it leaves the damage but dosent continue to damage...

No, it's more Mg than K... If it was just a K deficiency there would be necrotic spots on the leaves... Interveineal Chlorosis and curled up brown tips is indicative of Mg....

Your flower nutes should have enuff Pot the THIRD number in the N-P-K ratio... to handle flowering...IMO!!

However I would add a small amount of a bloom booster that has some K in it also!!

Actually Bro.. its just the opposite... you will usually see a calcium def when a MAG def is occuring... the cal def. is what causes the brown nerotic spots..

K deficiencies cause necrotic spots on the leaves...

Ca, being an immobile element shows up on new growth, not old growth...

ignoring Stitch's pic which I thought was yours too... A little more K is needed for sure... I'm gonna stick with a low Mg diagnoses as well, I do see leaves curling up...
