Everlasting Pitbull Propaganda (rant)

You have the biggest dog in the fight brother it looks like you got some Pitts there so lets look at its rationally and go by statistics and FACTS instead of your emotions because you have a pitt. the pitbull is a mutant inbred killing machine that WHY they were gentically bred to a sharped tooth, hard biting, weight for tearing threw flesh and a majority of them still have the old killer instinct in them. Hay some people have them and are ok but Pitts are generally mean ass dogs hell that what they were made for right? A pitbull was made to kill! A gun was made to kill why try to change the pitt bulls image because its still a killer

Here is something from dogbite law:
"Studies indicate that pit bull-type dogs were involved in approximately a third of human DBRF (i.e., dog bite related fatalities) reported during the 12-year period from 1981 through1992, and Rottweilers were responsible for about half of human DBRF reported during the 4 years from 1993 through 1996....[T]he data indicate that Rottweilers and pit bull-type dogs accounted for 67% of human DBRF in the United States between 1997 and 1998. It is extremely unlikely that they accounted for anywhere near 60% of dogs in the United States during that same period and, thus, there appears to be a breed-specific problem with fatalities." (Sacks JJ, Sinclair L, Gilchrist J, Golab GC, Lockwood R. Breeds of dogs involved in fatal human attacks in the United States between 1979 and 1998. JAVMA 2000;217:836-840.)

see thats where I disagree..Owners like me who are responsible for there animals and dont leave them unattended would most likely tell you there Killer would lick you to death..They crave attention like a lil kid..Ignore your children and chain them up and see what kind of an adult you get later in life.Yeah I have emotions when speaking of bullies ..I raise them like I do my 3 children...I have also been involved with the breed for over 15 years and have taken in many a rescues , via my GF who's a Vet ,from people who had opinions like yours and treated the animal cruel since all it is is a killing machine right...as far as facts all i've seen here is a bunch of opinions....and my dogs all release on command..I have kids and other animals..thats one of the first things they learn..Bullies arent for the weak minded or the undedicated..Guess we should just agree to disagree..Back to trimming

I think we need to put idiots "to sleep"

I don't mean anyone here I mean these idiots who somehow get attacked by dogs, I love animals and its only if a human hurts one it'll be violent against other humans.

Poor Animals :(.

srgt stadenko..

you are a ****ing retard.. You say a dog is sweet because of his blue eyes..

Get a life.. bully breed dogs are the most loyal, loving and caring breed Ive ever let in my home.. EVER!

I would trust a dog raised by me around anyone or anything I love and know they would be good dogs just like they always are.

For you to spread such misinformation and just cut and paste pitbull propoganda just lets all the bully owners of this site see you for what you are.. Someone who follows the leader and doesn't figure stuff out for yourself...

Go buy a toy poodle.. it seems to fit your personality better.. dousche.

Dogs are a subject worth being passionate about I agree, but I think you misspelled douche haha.Really I think all he was trying to say is for thousands of years people have bred dogs for specific purposes and there are very aggressive pitbull bloodlines out there. There are also moderate to submissive pits.I have a neighbor 3 houses down whose pit it perfect around children, calm and loving. They're actually great for kids being all muscle and so tough,a toddler can pull his eyes out haha.My next door neighbors pit is from a quite different bloodline,I wouldn't let my dog near it.Now taking a pit from an aggressive line and raising it to be moderate submissive pitbull I just don't know about, but I imagine so.

OK.. all i got to say is this.. You base all your knowledge of pitbulls on your neighbors dogs.. Enough said ..

maybe we should follow what the media says about us and believe that. While your at it you could take it as fact also.

I may not be able to spell dousche but can def.. think for myself.

sincerely,

flava

also, id like to know what bloodlines your speaking of.. because in my experience the most game lines produced the best companion pit bulls I've ever had.

examples.. Ive owned Norrod dogs from Ironline kennels, Boudreaux from the man, and various jeep and snooty hybrids.. All have been great around all people and animals.

If you dont like pitbulls or are scared of them, it is because you have never been around one, or owned one, if you would come to my house for 2 seconds and i show that its ok, my dog will be all over you kissing you, they are just very protective, and if they feel threatened they will bite you, other then that there fine, Some people raise them to be aggresive and mean, im the other way im nice and soft with him, everyonce in a while i ruff him up, but i dont want my pit biting me in my fface a year down the road cuz i was mean to him, Screw a pitbull hater because I LOVE PITBULLS

Im not a pitbull hater Im not scared of them all im saying is a pit bull is a dog bred for killing thats it..

Much of a dog's temperament relates to it's breed history and genetic inheritance. I won't go too deep into the history of the Pit Bull as there are many good books and websites that cover the origin and history of the breed. It is common knowledge however, that the Pit Bull breed was developed for blood sports: Bull baiting, bear baiting, and later, dogfighting. What is not common knowledge is that in the days of organized dogfighting, the handlers of the combatants were habitually IN THE PIT with the dogs for the duration of the fight. They were required to pick up and separate the dogs several times while the dogs were in full fight frenzy. Before the fight, the handlers were required to wash each other's dogs, and after the fight, the badly injured dogs were often treated at ringside by strangers. Any dog that attacked or bit a handler (even if it was the other dog's handler) or anyone else at any time was culled, often on the spot, and would never have been bred.

All Im saying is the pitbull is a dog made for Bloodsports so the propoganda is correct in saying the dog breed WAS made for killing.

I have nothing against pitts at all but facts are facts

so i guess from your guys' FLAWLESS logic, that there are no such thing as "hunting" dogs, or "guard" dogs, no such thing at all. Is that what you are saying? Because it seems to me that selective breeding is capable of reliably producing animals with a definite genetic makep. Meaning, that some dog breeds, with all things being equal, are more liable to become agressive. Are you really setting the odds even, for a dog like a springer spaniel and a pitbull to have equal chances of becoming agressive?

The typical pitbull owner's mindset smacks of insecurity, and a desperate need to put on a facade of "don't mess with me". I just don't see thug youth walking the chows and greyhound dogs that they use to imtimidate other thugs with.

For all you pitull defenders, I understand the connection of dog owner and pet believe me. But I also know that 95% of the population are borderline retarded human beings, and you deserve the following:

A) an expensive lawsuit when your dog attacks someone
B) a dead child or spouse, with their throat ripped out and face torn off, flesh torn from their limbs by their lovely pitbull who is no more dangerous than a labrador.

i dont think most of us care a whole lot about laws anyway....

My pitbull is quite possibly the sweetest, nicest, most gentle pitbull you'll ever meet. She will KILL you in a heartbeat, by drowning you with her slobber while she kisses you to death.

HOWEVER, my other dog (which is not a pitbull) is quite possibly the meanest dog you'll ever come across. He will kill ANYONE that walks into my house, and there is no command to give him to say "He or she is okay". He has to go into the bedroom when people are over. I've had him for 6 years, and never had an incident where he bit someone.

Although I don't have a Pit Bull, I have another "controversial" breed, an American Bulldog. I'm in the mood for a story so bear with me :p

We got her out of a suboptimal situation. Hell her mom couldn't be let out of her crate while we were there. The owners of the parent dogs, were not the cleanest or nicest of people. When we saw them, we had to try to give one of those pups a shot at a good life. I checked both the male and female over to make sure there was no evidence of fighting and noticed that although the mom was not comfortable with us being there, she was nervous but not aggressive. She stood her ground (in her crate) focused on us and making sure we were not a threat. I have no doubt at all that she would have defended her family in a heartbeat, but she sensed no need to, and reacted accordingly. The male was very friendly, very comfortable, and very glad for any and all attention.

We saw the litter, all bloated a bit, but otherwise healthy if not a little under exercised. The whole group were huddled up together, snoring peacefully. All the males were solid white. Two females were solid white, and two were white and brindle (I think thats the term anyway, mottled brown and black regardless) mix. As we stood there listening to their tiny little snores (we have a St Bernard also, you really know what a snore is with one of those next to you in bed) and wondering which one we should wake, when the largest, loudest snorer woke up and yawned at us. My wife said hi to her, and the little pup sniffed at her hand and then proceeded to sit up (in that slow, unsteady, arthritic way only a puppy can) and hang her head fighting sleep with all her being. This one however, was already spoken for, so we started looking at the others.

My wife then tried to wake some of the pure white pups, as they were smaller, and very cute. After finding out that the two pure white girls were not only astounded that we would dare wake them, but quite upset at us. Two attempted wake ups for a total of 5 sneezes and a groan. Now I am a huge proponent of letting the dog pick you. Meaning that we are in a bit of a pickle. We love the pups, but none of them seem to have any interest. The little white and brindle girl is still fighting sleep as best she can, but her head is bent over so far her whiskers are touching the blanket and she is fading fast. We then look at the other white/brindle female and she woke up for us easily and quite happily. With her little tail whipping back and forth when my wife gave her a finger to smell, my wife picked her up. That pup was so happy to be held and shown some attention, and she was not bothered in the least about being woken up from a winter nap. We thought we had our pup.

She liked us, we liked her, and the price was right. I was talking to the owner, to settle all the details while my wife held what we thought to be our new puppy. All of a sudden we hear this loud whine. Everyone in the house turned to see what was happening, and the other white/brindle pup was whining her head off for no apparent reason. The owner walked over and picked her up and was trying to make sure she wasn't hurt, when she jumped out of his hands and ran straight up to my wife and started whining at the top of her lungs.

Of course my wife just HAD to pick that one up. I mean honestly, how can you resist that? Well now my wife wants this one. She will walk out with none, or this pup. It turns out that although someone had asked her to be set aside, that person was also asking for a discount from the advertised price. We said we would happily pay the price on the sign, if we can have this pup. Well that was all it took, the pup was ours. We wrote a check, got all the paperwork, shook hands and called it a day.

Here we are, almost two years later and Peaches is the tinest little American Bulldog I have ever seen. She is a whopping 52 lbs of lean muscle, and full of energy. All she wants to do is play. Whether it be with her "sisters", her people family, or whatever person or dog she runs into. She has never shown any signs of aggression towards any people nor any other animals (well except for one little habit she has, she can NOT stand flies. They must be destroyed at all costs) and is now a very well behaved (if a little spoiled), well mannered, citizen.

For anyone who says that Pits, or AmStafs or Amer. Bulldogs (or really any breed) are inherently "evil", I say you are full of <explenative deleted>! Any dog will act as it was taught to, assuming someone takes the time to teach it. If you don't teach a dog how to act with both humans and other dogs at an early age, it's instincts will take over and then is when you end up with a dog that has done bad (but never a bad dog).

All you pit owners have my full support! I own a bullmastiff and we take him everywhere only to be constantly asked "Is that a Pitbull, Is he dangerous?, He looks so mean...etc.." I have a big pinch collar for him because his neck is bigger than his head and a standard cloth collar just slips right off and people are always going nuts about it "Oh my god! does it hurt? how could you put that on your dog?"..In reality, he is the sweetest dog I have ever owned. I've had around 10-12 doggys over the years, big and small and the little ones have always been the most vicious little bastards, I'd never have a cocker spaniel or a beagle etc.. around my 3 year old son. Our cocker spaniel bit EVERYONE, literally. This guy is only a danger to unattended food, here he is in april, wondering who took all the snow out of his yard (He loves the snow, he'll run aorund in it until the point of frostbite so we have to be careful)

We're thinking of getting an american bulldog next, maybe in a year or two to keep the big guy here company. We'd love a pit but they are illegal here so we'll have to wait until we move out of town. Good luck you guys!

I get that all the time also SuperNuck. People ALWAYS say "what a pretty pit bull!" I then correct them and say she is an American Bulldog (then mention Petey from the Little Rascals). That tends to peak a lot of people's interest. They start asking questions, and we happily answer all questions we can.

If people understood why these "bully breeds" are the way they are, and just how much they get their behavioral cues from their "master". Every single Bully I've ever seen, acts 100% the way their owner wants them too. If the owner wants a mean attack dog, he gets it. If an owner wants a companion and playmate, thats also what he gets. Like all dogs, these dogs were bred to please humans, and ultimately, thats all any dog wants to do.

BTW SuperNuck, he is amazing. Your a lucky guy

srgt. stadenko ..

Why are you even on this site.. Because growing pot was illegal last time I checked. I bet if you want to check the internet you could find facts to support most pot growers being violent.

Now Im also sure from your own experience you have found the exact opposite about what the media says about us.. So why would you encourage it for one of gods creatures.

Because in these days and times you can find facts to support any outlandish claim made by deranged people looking for validation.
