Everlasting Pitbull Propaganda (rant)

Man, the media sure loves hype mongering, huh? Haha, nothing new though. But anyway, I was watching CNN "Headline Prime" or whatever the hell headline news CNN is late night, and they had some hysterical women in tears (except they didn't show her face, but she was audibly crying as she was speaking) talking about how she threw her baby in a trashcan when a neighbors "pitbull" broke out of the backyard fence. They then went into to detail the horrible event and how the 130 lb dog attacked them or tried to attack them or whatever. And then went on to say the only right thing would be to have this "pitbull" put to sleep.

Anyway, what I want to know is where are all these goddamn 100-150lb pitbulls at I keep hearing about in the media (it was probably a mastiff or even a goddamn rhodesian ridgeback or some shit, that's way more likely than a pitbull). I'm in the heart of pitbull country, all through the deep south, you'll find pits. Classic american work dog. But I've never seen anywhere near a 100lb pitbull. 75lbs for a male pit is ****ing huge, and that's about as big as it gets and that's for a fairly fat pitbull. 60-65lbs is average, and that's for males. Females are generally smaller. Pits are medium sized dogs, folks.

Bottom line is every dumbass that gets bitten by a dog, needs to stop calling it a "pitbull" just because they think pitbulls are mean scary dogs, so if they got attacked it must have been by a pitbull.

130lb pitbull? Get the **** out of here.

It's not the dogs, it's the stupid owners who keep those kind of dogs for the wrong reasons.
If the dog is not mentally ill it can be trained to be like any other family dog out there.

........if you lock a human up in a cage segregated in solitary confinement, feed him raw meat, torment him in a violent way and encourage him to be violent........then let him out on society what then would you expect the result to be?

.....if you give a human love and affection, space, security, cooked food and regular peacefull healthy socialization and exercise with other humans and animals.........would you then have a better result?

....whats good for the man is good for the dog.....

punish the deed don't ban the breed!

as other's have already said . . . there's no such thing as a "bad dog" . . .

however there are bad owners . . .

laws that are "breed specific" are impossible to enforce fairly . . . and they focus on the wrong issue . . .

M'eh.

The first time I hit a deer, the guys at work asked me how big it was. I said, "I don't know, it was huge. Maybe 800 lbs."

They laughed about that one for quite a bit (300 lbs. for a deer is really big.)

Their perception is off. As someone who is in the know, you can just laugh at them and call them idiots.

My boy is geeting kind of old almost 8 now and hes a little defensive especially if you come int the house and are really jumpy and scared of him.

I blame myself for some of this because the media actually scared me to the point i didnt socialize him as well as i should have.

He is a gret dog, He is the most docile animal with my 2 yr old daughter. and loves all my friends.

"punish the deed don't ban the breed!"

Every day dogs attack I was chased and attacked by more small toy dogs then any large dog.
Just pits or supposed pits are much stronger the damage is much more severe.

I've never actually seen a "lazy" purebred pitbull though, more like lazy owners, let him work a springpole for about 5 minutes and I bet he won't be lazy anymore. But 80lbs is huge, you got the Eric Cartman of pitbulls. Let him get some damn exercise, haha

all the pit bulls and bull terriors..even greyhounds I've met love humans, but will attack and try to fight/kill every other male dog within eyesight.....my dog is the same. If I se another dog, or know there's another dog down the road when I go for a walk, I put him on the lead until we are past the temptation

I reckon any person who trains a dog to fight other dogs or attack humans needs to be bitch-slapped really hard.....then bitch-kicked the same way for another five minutes

anyone who owns a dog to feel tough is a wanker and needs the same treatment

dogs really are man's best friend...I own a dog, a native Asian hunting dog, my first ever dog....I've always liked dogs but never actually owned one until I got this one 3 1/2 years ago as a pup....I take him for a walk everyday in the open area near my house, we both get some exercise (and I get to check out how well the gunj is growing too), he loves to swim and sprint around like a maniac......

a dog is the best security for a grower or smoker, mine's a barker, but will shy away at most people (outside my house), if anyone comes near my door, I already know long before they are anywhere near my apartment..if anyone come into my house he will watch them ..and follow them if they eg go to the toilet.

I planted some seedlings the other day in the bush (it's sub tropical here so I can grow all year round)...he got all excited in his mad-assed sprints and ran right over the top of them at full speed, breaking half them and scattering the rest!!!......like I said, he's a maniac!

I feed my dog mostly dry dog food with table scraps (meat, rice etc) that has been rinsed in hot water to get rid of any salt...I shampoo him with a sulphur based dog shampoo and he has a very shiny coat.

If you own a dog it's your responsibility to make sure they get daily exercise, a variety of good food, a shampoo once a week and they will give you much more in return..if their coat is not shiny and they are not full of energy, then you are a bad owner

I've always like dogs, even though I was almost killed by a pack a dogs when I was a baby (my father's GSH pointers..gun dogs, not pets).....but it took me 47 years to own my first dog, I was always making excuses not to own one...I now kick myself for not having a dog before...

"hooo let the dogs out?"

yes..but...some of those cross breed attack dogs do look like an angry Mike Tyson on steroids..people who own those types of dogs usually are bullys who attach themselves to things like weapons, attack dogs, aggressive behavior etc is because they feel inadequate without them.

the real hard nutters don't need those accessories...lol..they just need a look in your direction

if you want a family dog, get a Lab...if you want to look like a you are tough mo-fo then get yourself a a big, pumped up, angry, abused, attack dog ....lol

There are aggressive pitbull bloodlines that are beyond any taming or real domestication unfortunately, again its the result of people not the animal but you can bet there are "bad dogs" so to say out there.People have genetically engineered good and bad dogs.If you're walking your male dog and come across two male pits from agressive bloodlines you and rover better seek shelter quick.

The nastiest dogs in my neighborhood are Chihuahuas. The yappy little bastards are always dashing out to yap at me and nip at my feet while I am doing my nightly walk. One of these days, I am going to drop kick one of the little bastards over the the top of his house, kick the shit out of his owner and then walk in peace.

Pops...the $64,000 question is ...how many full grown, male chihuahuas, working as a pack in unison, would it take to take you down?

I'm thinking, with ankle, knee, groin guards and a pair of working boots I could handle maybe 100 ~ 125 of the angry little bastards at the one time..anymore though, I'd reckon I'd be taco meat for sure

Speaking of taco meat, a Chihuahua goes pretty good on the grill with some hot sauce and a good spice rub. One of these days, I will prove to the little bastards that I shit bigger than they are.

Chamba, they are mean because they have the courage of a lion trapped in the body of a rat.
