Ever been busted for Under 1oz in CALI? What happens?

Im pretty sure they cant take you to jail unless you are visually high and driving. And paraphanilia is a seperate charge is it not? If you got pulled over with like 25 gr's in a jar and thats it what would they do. (assuming its a regular old LEO or CHP.

Please rundown what went wrong, why he searched you vehicle and what proceeded.

Dont quote norml.. I get the idea but i want specifics.

make sure you have ID of some kind with you at all times otherwise they most certainly can take you to jail. even for amounts under 1 oz.
A friend was smoking a joint in a park and was caught. they were going to issue a citation but when they asked for his ID he had left it in his car. (a mere 20 feet or so away)
well, they wouldnt let him get it and he was taken into custody.

They will search your car and run your drivers lic./veh. reg.
If it all checks out, you get your cannabis taken and a ticket.

what if a pipe or something smoked out of was present. If its your friend getting the charge and your in the same car, do you even have to provide ID?

i got rolled for no reg with a pipe & few bowls of herb i am medical but did not have ascrip on hand. ( & yes i just smoked a bowl ) but anywhos they took the pipe and my bag letting me drive off i have yet to go to court but its coming up im going to get it all back. or fight tell i do..... if oyur in cali

I talked to a friend and he said he got caught smokin a blunt in his car with a couple buddies they took a quad that was under the seat in a backpack and he got a 175 buck ticket. for disturbing the peace or some shit because people were visible like 75 feet away.

iif you get busted with under an ounce of weed and thats it in LA, it is unlawful for a cop to arrest you..its considered cruel and unsual punishment now...look it up..just a ticket

At least in my state there are distinct differences on amounts of possession when you are inside a car. These are not listed at the norml site.

Its a $200 fine and a misdemeanor...you got ID you go on your way with a ticket, assuming no wants/warrants/probation issues.

I know someone (Well not anymore) that got busted TWO times with a pound... 2 seperate busts with a packaged pound, in Ontario, Ca (on Etiwanda one time)

First time, $1000 fine, misdemeanor and probation. No time served.

Second time, $2500 fine, another misdemeanor and 5 days in jail, with 200hrs community service...

And he had a scale each time.


Take it FWIW.... and yah I don't associate with him now, since I know he's a moron.

I found out about what happened to him by doing a search on the net...a lot of counties (including mine) have free "background check" services...if you knwo someones whole name you can find them if they've been busted.

Good for weeding out snitches...

I also wanted to add, under HS 11364 there is no "paraphernalia" law as pertains to marijuana pipes, only opium, crack and speed pipes...


If you get caught with a used weed pipe the most the law allows for is its confiscation, no criminal charges.

Usually they bust them on the pavement...

Thats why you have travel pipes n house pipes.

That guy got off pretty well for a pound and a scale. But i have no need for that kinda weight unless i dont wanna get any more for about 6 months.
