Euphoric indica for landrace sat cross?

A friend of mine has a nice collection of bagseeds from around central America. I'm the lucky guy who gets to curate them, as he doesn't grow.

The winners were very strong, despite looking like oregano, but the high could be kinda scary. One in particular was very strong, with a creeper buzz that lasted most of the day. In the right situation it could be bliss, in the wrong one he found himself forgetting how to say hola lol.

I'd like to make pure seeds for fun, and a hybrid for practicality's sake. I love sats, but I'm past the point in my life where I want the strongest pot around, I want it to make me smile and be happy.

Couldn't go wrong using Blue Berry or Northern lights. Flo would be another possibility. So would Bubblegum, Burmese and Lebanese. All those strains are what I'd classify in the mellow to euphoric range, and would cut down on the flower time of the hybrid.

Any idea what the varieties you've got in your possession?

I'd think that just about anything from DJ Short would fit the ticket. As well, you may consider some ACE indicas like Pakistan Chitral Kush (PCK) or Tom Hills Deep Chunk or X-18.

Some one told me they poped a few, but not many fems and didn't find anything special. I heard Tony lost the parent plants and reworked the line from seed stock. The keeper I tried from the old seed stock is probably the best damn weed I ever tried besides some landrace while in central America 20 years ago. So its one of those things where there is legendary stuff in the line but you got to dig to find it which is time and money but that's just how it is. Probably something along the same lines withs Djs stuff as well right now.

Is kens GDP available in seed form? I've never smoked GDP before...

@welderdan, blueberry or flo sound fantastic, Flo was the 1st strain I grew, and it's still my favorite smoke of all time. It's gone though as best I can tell, all sold out. There's a dude called greenpath selling dj short f2s. He's got bb and f13, and for 25 a pack that's about the only way I could get dj genes atm.

Sourpuss, f13 does sound like it'd be pretty with a 100% sat, it's got a kind head with no burnout. Honestly I love that whole line, and realistically the flower time is on par with most indicas, hmm... and the bay has f2s for $25.

Mjpassion, x18 was actually on my mind for this. I kinda wanted to use a wholeblooded indy because of the vigor that hybrids allegedly have, but mainly I'd like the cross to be kind and mellow while still being awakening. According to my friend most of the keeper seeds were TOO awakening at times.

Don't know about varieties. Apparently the general seed bag with the most seeds was from average pot, maybe some indica in there, or just skunky chunky sat buds with a chilled out yet goofy buzz. The others were separate and labeled by city or region. He said these were definitely all sat, whispy buds trimmed aggressively, peppery spice smell, little dark seeds. But one j between 2 people would make going to the market an ordeal, like red eyed, staring at things smiling till he realized that he was himself being stared at, literally forgetting Spanish, etc.

But on the other hand in the right situation these bags could be heavenly. He told me of smoking some in a village and really connecting with some locals, just feeling great vibes and sending them back. In nature or villages they were great, he thought they were too much in a city where you pass 20 beggars and hustlers per km. He knows some was grown in nica, some in guat or hond.

Droppedcat, I really just wanna preserve these genes for memorys sake, who knows when another stoner friends gonna get the travel bug. I'm making pure seeds for sure, but I want to make a cross or two for my own sake. I grow sats but honestly it is possible to flower a plant for 16 weeks and have it be mediocre. I'd like to make a cross with something more manageable in terms of flo time, and see if I can make a humble hybrid that I can be happy smoking and proud of.

I like Peak Seeds Northern Lights and SAD from Sweet Seeds. Maple leaf Indica from Sensi is nice too. GDP is very nice but I got my seeds a couple years back and things may be different now with the genetics after the split with Ken and PNW?

PCK is a good choice, although I consider it relaxing and more 'content' than pure euphoria, it puts me in a very happy mood with no stress.

I crossed a cross I made with pck to a punto rojo.. and the mix of effects was too much for me.. it gave the punto rojo a relaxing body and the punto rojo provided this high energy, soaring, white lightning kind of rush to the high.. I harvested it a little early so it's possible leaving it longer could have provided a more laidback high.

DJ Short strains seem to fit your ticket the best, IMO.

I know that whenever I have something of his, pure & not crossed, I seem to develop this cheek lifting effect, putting a nice smile on my face that I cannot seem to wipe off.

I've had a couple other varieties do this but DJs hit all the right notes.
There may be a pack or two of Blue Moonshine left that I sent in for the GN fund but you'll have to ask old pink.

everyone has some pretty good choices, but i'd like to throw Sour Bubble in there.
I made a hybrid with it this past year, malawi x SB. the malawis would take anywhere from 13-19 weeks from seed. and the malawi x SB took anywhere from 10-11 weeks from seed.

Heh, oregano was just an example, they looked like weed more than spice but they were all busted up and pressed so in a bag it looked like oregano. I'll get a pic up today, I'm having trouble with the absurdly small jpg size limit.
