ErdPurt Wintertime grow on a Greek island , lat 36 .

Hello people .I have this crazy idea of growing some ErdPurt plants ,out in the open . Winter here is very mild ,hardly any frost at all . The Sun is my best friend ,lots of it . The ErpPurt seeds are a gift from Ace .Thanks a lot Luis !!!
I plan to use a growing spot that is North-protected and gets sunshine from sunrise to sun-fall . I'm going to use native soil with some algoflash time release all purpose ferts .
This is my spot ,it is heavily protected as you can see !

What do you think people ,do i have a chance ? ErdPurts are supposed to be extra hardy and frost resistant . October i crack the seeds ,November i transplant outdoors and about March i harvest . Any thoughts would be really appreciated .

if temperatures dont drop too low but no idea about the time periods there...
since they get longer towards march it may introduce herms.

if you could get them out before november while the time period is shorter
you may finish even fast.

We don't EVER have temperatures below zero .Never snows on the island of god Apollo . I could plant them in October but i want to test if they survive without any watering from me .That's why i plan for November because rain is going to saturate the ground till then .
This is just a project i'm about to try . If the ErdPurts deliver , i will pass the seeds to other Greek's ,it would be a blessing to us . Cannabis cultivation is strictly illegal in Greece and there are so many patients that need their medicine . A cannabis strain that grows unattended in the wintertime is something everyone can manage safely .It is worth the effort . I just have to prepare my spot the right way , that's why i ask for your help and ideas .
Thanks for the input Asche !

so its always above zero, but when you take them out of your cabin
and put them into another environment they may get stunned anyway
such a change can be a drastic shock for the plants.

just be sure they get a good portion of the soil they where growing in
if you take them out and maybe wait till the roots have developed properly.

but i am very curious and if its such an urge i hold thumbs and cross fingers
and toes for you that everybody gets what they need.

Hi there, scourouhi!

Your scheme is one I've never heard of before, at least around Greece...as Ash is saying photoperiod is a serious matter...
Yet, it sounds very intriguing and did it turn out the way your high hopes go, it would provide quite an alternative for many a folk...
As for the island I had the impression that the place is hardly inhabited...and the tank...?

Wish all the very best!

Hello Asche and Orfeas !
I came across this idea of wintertime growing a couple months ago . I think i was reading a thread of Mitchel ( Mephisto Genetics ) and he said that they experimentally tried to grow one of their autos in winter , in north east Spain . And then i 've read of the exceptional properties of ErdPurt strain . If the ErdPurt can handle such extreme weather conditions then it could surely handle our mild winter or so i hope .
I know it is too early but i like to plan ahead ,especially with this project .My plan is that . I'm going to germinate the seeds straight into one litter plastic pots on the first of October . They are going to be kept at my balcony for the whole month under the sun .When my balcony is in the shade, i'm going to place the plants in my veg closet for the rest of the 24 hours under a 120 watt clf . Out in out in for a month .This way they are going to be hardened enough i think and develop a nice root system .
October 28th ,i transplant them to their final place .I think of using large cannabis- fiber made sacks for the soil . It is going to be native soil with some algoflash time release ferts . I want a procedure that anyone can manage . No fancy stuff ,just ferts that every Greek supermarket has . I'm going to use some big adult diapers , in order to hold water for the plants . That is my plan in rough sketch . What do you think ?
Orfeas , the artillery gun is my protection , haha !
You see , i love to go hiking to places nobody else does .I sometimes come across strange stuff .This is near an abandoned army camp .Next time i visit ,i'm going to take some photos of the inside .It has a barrel and all .
This is the view at the right hand side of the spot .Are you impressed or are you impressed ? If i manage to finish my plants up there ,i'm going to take pictures of them with the most beautiful background ever !
Thanks for the input guys ,have a nice weekend !

Welcome scourouhi,

We both grow in a similar latitude and climate.

Honestly, I'm not sure is a good idea to grow ErdPurt from seed in winter, at that time of the year the photoperiod in our latitude is below 12 hours of light per day, ErdPurt likes to flower very fast so your plants will probably start to flower when they are very young, after only 3 weeks of life, producing very small yields due the lack of growing time and the not so good outdoor conditions in winter (lower temps, lower light intensity).

I made a similar experiment this winter, i flowered my ErdPurt mothers outdoors in winter (from December to February) to test their cold resistance and hermie resistance with increasing photoperiod. The results were interesting to learn more about how these parental plants perform in more extreme conditions, but the winter flowers lacked of the quality and density that you would expect from the same plants grown in the main season (from spring to autumn).

If you really want to get the best from these seeds, then i would recommend you to start them now in the main season.

Its amazing idea scourohi! Well I dont know how winter looks at your island-Delos? photoperiod can be hacked very simply..but you will need few lights in that case. You can throw some cables on that BTR :)
Btw a lot of my friends came on same idea but at 46N :)

Good morning people . Thank you for the input . Your thoughts and observations are welcomed and appreciated . However , this project is just an experiment .I don't really expect to harvest a lot and i don't need it . I have 8 Satoris running in a different location ,that would be enough smoke for me . I hope my Satoris get Colossal ! ( This is a hint about the place i live ..)

Hey, scouro!
You had us misguided(actually I wasn't) with Apollo's island that's why Kono thought of the sacred one...the hint makes it obvious

Konopenko, there's no way of a BTR being so very well-camouflaged on a Greek island, although we would have loved to have S-300 installed somewhere in the Aegean just to gag the bloody Turkish hostility... :)

Orfeas no need to worry, as I know you have 2 brigades of S 300 on Crete, one is surely near Xania, I saw decent Greek army there. I love Crete lovely people, food...but no ganja, my lungs were so hungry

After the hullabaloo raised by the failed Cypriot haphazard plan they were stored in Krete, but are they really armed and ready I have no clue...

Nevertheless, next time you find yourself around Chania give me a holler and I'll get you fixed...
