Erdpurt at 58n?

Planning a first outside grow this year, looking through some threads and have fallen in love with the erdpurt but will it grow this far north in Scotland?
I realize the autumn weather will make all the difference one way or the other but I am curious if anyone has any experience at this latitude. Most of the danish strains seem possible but also seem tricky to get hold off. Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

Welcome Hoots :)

Probably is a bit too north for her, but sure ErdPurt is more suitable for your climate than most other outdoor strains. It'ss worth to try!

Cheers for the reply dubi, decided to go with some typhoons, as hopefully they will finish in time and give me some experience outdoors, then erdpurt next year if all goes well!

It really is one of the loveliest strains I have seen.

Just out of intrest Dubi.. what would you say is the furthest North for these?

I live at 52degs and need something more suitable than my current genetics for a regular crop.

Also would the Pakistan Chitral Kush be a possability? My main problem is Botritis at the end of september/October my seconadry problem is i need plants that stay quite short.

Cheers Eggy

Hello Big Eggy,

ErdPurt was bred by esben in cold Denmark (around 55N) so it should be suitable for your latitude. It's very very mold resistant for a mostly afghan hybrid, Pakistan Chitral Kush has not been fully tested so far north but it's the most mold resistant pure indica line we have released or had the pleasure to work with ... very cold resistant too. I think both strains fit your needs. Hope it helps.

Dont worry habeed :) Still on topic!

If you mean for cold-wet climates then ErdPurt, PCK, Bangi Haze and Nepalese Jam.

All our sativa strains (congo, tikal, panama, malawi, golden tiger, vietnam black x thai, nepalese haze ... ) are very suitable and resistant for outdoor growing in hot climates without water restriction, although the haze hybrids are a bit more difficult to finish (tropical/subtropical cimate or climates with warm winter are recommended).

Chinese Yunnan, Orient Express and PCK for hot dry climates with water restriction.

I fell in love with Erdpurt and Black Thai.
Would you say, could they grow in a greenhouse, and location is Skandinavia ;)
I will take them inside in autumn. Under sodium lamps.

Anyway, I will your customer from now on, cause you seeds are so interesting!
Placing my first order in the end of this month.

Welcome scai,

Not sure you can finish her outdoors in Skandinavia, honestly i have little experience with such northerns grows. You can flower them indoors. Another option is to grow them indoors from seed and then place them outdoors with less photoperiod to flower, they will feel the photoperiod decreasing and will start non stop auto flowering under the most summer sunny days. Let us know if you have any doubt! Best wishes!
