equipment trading?

I see that there are already some seed and clone trading threads out there so why not have one for trading grow equipment? I'll go first -
what I have-3 x 400w metal halide ballast rebuild kits-transformer and capacitor only-these are for fixing a burnt out ballast, but with just a socket and a cord-it's a light! I have already used the other two I had, put one in my garage and sold the other to a friend
I also have a HUGE double squirrel cage blower, I am not sure what the CFM is but it moves a lot of air, it was just a little big for my needs, works perfect.
what I am looking for-well the only thing that I could really use would be a 400w HPS kit or complete.
If you have extra stuff post it here, swap someone for stuff you need, i mean there is nothing illegal about grow equip. right? so instead of letting your old 400w light (since you just got that 1000w ) sit in the closet, put it on here. maybe get something that you could use for it.! peAce pacT

Sounds like a good idea to me. If there is anyway for you to find out the cfm on that blower I might be intrested.

hey tragic1 to the best of my knowledge this blower has to be at least 1000cfm (this would be a guess), ya see i just bought a 500cfm blower on Ebay and it has almost the same size wheel, and the rpm's are the same, and the one I already have is two wheels attached to a single motor.
sorry Sharp_Pain, but the noise level was the first reason that i decided that this blower was too much for me, it does have a big sheet metal housing and if this was removed it seems to be a little quieter, but it is still a little loud. so if you're growing stealth then this is not the blower you want.

the equipment itself isn't illegal.trading and selling equipment specifically for the use of marijuana production is illegal in many states though.

However, the main reason this might get binned is it encourages members to compromise security by giving out addresses of both parties involved.

if people on here are in fact trading seeds and clones >openly<, that is most definitely against the terms of use. Anything that makes this sight a vehicle for illegal actions is against TOU basically.

so i guess what im saying is,
before you start giving out information about yourself, ask first whether its worth jailtime to you or if not, do you trust this handle of some person THAT MUCH that you are willing to risk it.

remember folks, just because what you're trading might not be illegal, assuming the other stuff i've said is wrong, many of you do have pictures, grow threads, and other incriminating stuff on here which would make giving out your address a potentially disasterous move.
