So, I have this batch of super dank, all organic soil/compost mix that has been ageing in a clean trash can in my garage for like the past 2 1/2 months. Anyways I put like 1/4 cup of this Garden Lime granular stuff I bought at Home Depot into my 40 gallons of soil when I first mixed it all up.
Today I transplanted like 8 plants into my organic super soil. I put the soil in the bottom half of the pot and then I put the transplants ontop and fill the gaps with the soil I used to start growing the plants.
Anyways, after I transplanted like 8 plants I decided to check the PH. WOW, the super dank soil/compost was 4.0, while the plants that got transplanted are like 6.0
Im pissed, that stupid GardenLime granular shit I bought did absolutley nothing!
What should I do, go buy some Dolomite lime and just mix it in to water and give it to my plants every watering? Or should I pull the transplants back out, dump the bottom part of my super soil into a pile and mix in some Dolomite and then re-transplant over?
