End of growing season in temperate climate: how it looks like at your place?

Well, for most of us who live in, so called, temperate climate, end of outdoor season comes by the end of October. Sometimes, it is prolonged throughout the November (if it's dry enough and sunny), but it depends on pure luck.
If some inexperienced local grower asks me for reliable outdoor strain, i recommend only strains that finishes well by the end of September (or earlier). Some years it's sunny and dry, some years it's rainy, but every year, September is warm enough in my area. October is usualy more tricky, some years more dry than September, but always (naturally) with less sun hours, and with lower night temps. But if you pick the right strain, it might work very well.
I'm in the USDA zone 7b/8a, comparing to US, somewhat similar to south Oklahoma.
Strains that finishes well here are (by my experience and by experience of my friends)
August early to mid : Early Girl, Hollands Hope (warm and rainy summers), 4 Way, Balkan Landrace Sativa (origin probably Smyrna, Turkey)
August late :Hollands Hope, Durban Poison (dry summer), Top 44
September mid to late: Durban Poison (rainy summer), Swazi (warm September), Afghani (Nirvana)
September late : Mango (very hot summer), Early Pearl
October early : Hindu Kush (dry September), Lebanese indica, Turkish indica, Swazi (rainy September), Big Bud, Swis Miss
October mid to late : Skunk#1 (warm October, older versions, '80's and early '90's), Mango, Blueberry (Dutch Passion), Guerrero Mexican Landrace Sativa, Masterkush, Misty, NL #5
November early : Skunk#1, White Widow (very sunny October), Masterkush (rainy October), Hawaiian Sativa, West African Sativa (seeds form Ghana, it lacks a week or two to finish well)

So, what's it at your place?

This is my first year growing outdoors in western Oregon, I think we're a zone 8, comparable to southern Georgia / Mississippi in that we often don't get a real freeze until New Years or later, but the climate is cool and wet with the sun low in the sky much of the year at 45 north.

I only grew a few strains but I was surprised at how long some took.

Kenyan Landrace (allegedly) from World of Seeds finished Sept 15-21 with huge yields, great results.

Apollo 11 finished up last week.

Black Domina finished last week.

Thai from World of Seeds now seriously flowering, figure December to finish if I'm lucky (they're in a makeshift greenhouse).

Looks like it will hold out another 2-3 weeks around here, if we stay fairly dry.... fingers crossed.... Been dipping down into the low 40's lately.... Time to slow down.... :canabis:

My mold season started early here, plants will need to be comming down soon, its so dark and cloudy most of the time anyways, I'm sure not much growth/finishing is going on at this point anyways.

The theme for my climate before July was drier and warmer than usual, after July was cooler than normal with a weter than normal late September and October, it was like my ideal local season was turned around backwards. Oh well, I should still pull down some good medicine! And maybe next year I'll get a wet Spring and a dry Fall like I prefer, no watering until July, and no mold before finish!

I am in Spain and I think my season has just come to an end.
Not for temp..simply Dank..mold/mildew weather.
My season this year was 4-6 weeks late coming in.
My bugs were running about 2-3 weeks late...
and our Rainy month is normally Novermber...but this started mid Sept.
The untreated citrus tree around us are covered in sooty mold.
Bad season.

I'm right in the middle of Oklahoma Pottawatomie county I usually harvest My plants FIRST Frost of December which can be as tall and wide as ten to twelve feet and yield eight pounds or more most are crosses of Nevils stock with really long season Colombians Jamaicans and Mexicans. I have plants in the ground by mid March so Mid March to early December. I have been growing this way for over thirty years off of Bicycles and State Highways throughout mid Oklahoma and teach one or two special souls per year. There are a lot of big Plant growers that have three big plants per plot like I taught them.More than once I have had Californian growers in garden in varying stages and times. I am not greedy with information just selective whom gets an education in Marijuana growing long season

I am at 33 lat, area 9 in California and don't really worry about frost. Almost never happens. I will probably drag in my starters this year so that they get a full veg period before going out again.

I gave away 2 female SKOHLP in bags, and they have been tortured outside by the person. It frosted the last 2 nights, and the plants are still alive. He says they smell lemon. I will try to get some pics in a couple daze. That may be a good outdoor plant. The male I had was stout as hell. These had been sexed inside last spring, taken outside all summer, with the resulting photoperiod stress. My male never recovered and made more pollen.
