Emergency teardown protocol?

Had a scare early this week with Hurricane Sandy....Some of it is already posted in the "Growroom designs " forum, so I won't type it all out here, but here is the thread:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=248531

Interested in hearing what contingency plans others may have in place if they need to do a teardown and only have minutes to do so.

Carry a lawyers card with his cell number on the back. I worry that some drunk Fuck is going to crash into my house... I come home to find the whole emergency squad lighting up my block.

The plan changes depending on crop development, reason to GTFO, resources etc. Personally I keep a 6x8 enclosed trailer (insured, registered, tires checked, spare, light etc 100 % legal) parked at my grow location. If i need to Gtfo, I pop a trailer door and load to go. I also keep large black duffel bags on hand.

I had to tear down a couple times and I made a long post about it here.

Basically:

Steps:
1. Conceal or destroy other contraband (ex: scales or other drugs)
2. Destroy plant count
3. Remove plant matter (flush, burn or otherwise remove)
4. Break down grow gear and package (can conceal some at this point)
5. Remove all grow gear from property, unless the risk presented by doing so is greater than the risk of keeping it hidden on the property

You should always have on hand:
1. Large containers for storing all of your shit quick. junior_grower said big black duffel bags and that's good, I have a bunch of those. Reservoirs will also function as containers to store and move shit in a pinch.
2. Contractor trash bags - 3mil. These are the thickest bags I have found. The ones I get are called "contractor clean-up bags". The thicker bags you have the better they'll keep the smell in and random sharp shit like stems from poking out. I keep one unopened box on hand at all times. Also keep a bunch of zip ties to close them up with.

If you keep everything clean and orderly all the time it's going to make a huge difference when you break down. I try to keep all of my grow gear sorted in tupperware containers. I also keep all of my grow gear in one spot - my basement. Absolutely no grow gear is anywhere else in the house.

Personally I had to do this for a housemate once when unexpected property maintenance was about to begin, worst day of my life, he didn't even thank me for it, he asked me to call the landlady and say if she'd seen any plants then they were weed and mine as the maintenance saw some small plants in my room (probably too small to be identified) I'd put there when I first began clearing his grow space. had to carry five massive flowering northern lights and a meter high diesel down a rope ladder plus 30 other plants.

I've never quite got over being so angry at him.
