Emergency: Mouse timbered my plant, can it be saved?

The mice have ate my seedlings before but this is new, they chewed the stem of one of my vegging plants and its now knocked over. I'm new to cloning and normally see people cloning plants that are farther along, can I clone a whole plant? Would taping it back up work? It's still attached, there's like half the stem there, it doesn't look like it would support water flow but..

I attached some pics, my cameras actin' up so I couldn't get anything any less blurry. Can I clone at the red lines?

Halpers!

A mouse did that indoors?
I take it the area your using in not sealed off very good?
I can't tell how much is chewed away from the stem in your pics.
I've broken plants over before and taped them and had them recover, but if that mouse ate a bunch of the stem I don't know if it will work.
Seal that room or put some traps out

I'm not looking to kill the mice, though they are kinda grinding my gears. I'm gonna look into some humane trapping methods... but back to the point here, can I clone can I clone?

Your plant looks pretty hosed. If its still healthy and holding a bit of water I would clone it immediately. You're not going to grow anything if you cut off the damaged part because there's no leaves below the damage.

I cut it right above the damage, I hope everything goes good. I'll be sure to get pics up in a few... now LAWL.

It's a Satori by the way. Pray for her. And pray it's a her.

Once a mouse has tasted the herb it's hooked heh heh heh reefer ratness !

The only thing left to do is give it a nice last dinner of peanut butter on a fresh snap trap so it never has to kill or damage more reefer again. It's family will need to be eliminated too unless you find a way to prevent them from entering the grow space. They can squeeze their bodies through very tight gaps, like between the door and threshold where there's only a 1/4" gap. Tighten up that clearance by adding a door sweep from your local home improvement center. Weatherstrip around door edges and screen cover all air vents etc.

The ripper rats must be stopped.

ps...
It's always a good idea to keep a few baited mouse traps in the grow space just in case.
Whether or not it's the deadly kind or the live trap kind is up to you.

A cat might be in order if that was an indoor plant. lol

HELL NO!!!
Damn cat finished the next batch of plants after I started over after the mouse cleaned house.

It's lucky it was the family cat, or I would found out if there really was more then one way to skin a cat..

You need to secure your area if animals can get in so easy...

OMG ROOT NATTY ROOT! I'm so blissed that there's gonna be a Satori 'round for this grow, I had another one going that didn't get timbered, but did get a stem chewed and drooped and drooped til death did us part.

Out of 3 plants they only chewed on the 2 Satoris, they must love the citrusy/orangey flavor that I get when I rubadubdubbed the stems.
