Emergency lights out no generator?

Does anybody have any emergency plans incase the lights go out. I've been checking older threads but haven't found a good solution. I live in an apt so a gas generator isn't really possible. The electrical generators don't have solid reviews. Im mainly concerned about the smell seeping out. Im getting some vaptronik filters and a carbon scrubber but when its late in flowering it'll stink with no power. I'm considering getting air sealed bags and just taking down the crop early if this emergency occurs

Depending on how long your power loss could be potentially, you might think of using computer backups? Not sure if they would meet your draw.. deep cycle backup perhaps?

get a car batt and a power inverter to convert the dc battery charge to ac power so u can run a scrubber... each car battery should give u 5-6 hours of power time. prob cost u $200 usd.

That's the ticket baby ! :peacock:

Also, to keep lights on their proper flowering cycle, it doesn't hurt to have some low power consumption bulbs.

I have a Tripplite 1250KFC, it puts out 1250 watt continuous (2000 peak). Runs off of 12 volt batteries. $260 + shipping.

A car battery is good for about a kilowatt hour.

Another option is to seal off the grow area while the power is off.

I have tried this with a CO2 source embedded, and the plants don't seem to mind at all. They don't need CO2 during the night hours but the extra CO2 doesn't seem to hurt them.

The inverter/battery is a good idea. If you are just running a scrubber.

But you'll have to manually switch the fan to the inverter, and theres the issue to charge the battery. So you'll need a charger. Or use your car and a couple of cables.

Id run with a UPS.. Charging, automatic, all in one box.

I dunno, I keep an inverter in all my vehicles. I could just run a cord to my car if I wanted to, just another solution to think about.
