Emergency blankets

I aked my girlfriend to pick me up an emergency blanket at walmart because I heard it was a cheap way to get mylar on the walls of my growroom. She brought back an emergency blanket but there is nothing that says it is made of mylar. Instead it says "Made of polyester material designed from insulation used in space exploration... Reflects 90% of body heat back to you." Is this product usable? I am guessing no.

yes you got the rite thing...is it blue on one side? or is it just the flimsy silver one

Probably staples. I will tape the back side with duct t ape and staple as little as possible. Thanks for the fast replies so that I can get right too it.

yes the duct tape or the actual silver metal duct tape than staple...i just warn you they rip easy...peace

They work just fine if you're on a budget. The real trick is to flatten them out as much as you can to decrease the amount of light spots. When I started indoor growing, they are what I used until a big roll of mylar became affordable.

Try buying some posterboard and spray adhesive. Make some reflector board/sheets with them. IMO it makes flattening out of the blanket easier and easily replaceable.
