Anybody got a Embur? What you think about it if you have one or have used one? I dont mind the price i just dont want to buy one and end up going back to my Bic lighter and not using Embur.

cordless flameless electric lighter ^^^^^ 250$ plus whatever else you get
Its a cordless rechargeable ceramic tipped soldering iron basicly. Herbiron makes a wired version but wire would be a inconvenience. I took a old cermic vaporizer apart and made something similar to herb iron until it blew apart, lol...The taste was WAY better then using a ligher. I seen Subcool using a Embur for awhile now but would like to hear from somebody thats used one alot and thinks its a good product or not.

Take a lighter and hold it under a clear glass cup for just few seconds with flames touching it like you would do bud in pipe. See all the black residue, im not so worried about health but the taste of the buds using a lighter ruins slightly.
Personally I only apply the lighter to the end of the spliff until it's alight, so I don't really have that problem... I suppose it applies more if using pipes/bongs.
Also, the amount of smoke I chuck down my lungs on a daily basis that probably doesn't make much difference

agreed^^^... hipster potheads will buy anything..but hey if ya got a couple hundred dollar bong why not....yeehaw smoke em if ya got em...that ignite is atleast reasonably priced....I break everything so I am wary of fancy gadgets with a high price tag..

as far as taste with butane, try packing your bowls tight, then just lick the red (tip) part of the flame onto one bit of herb, and let the ember crawl through the bowl.
that way, you don't flash torch all your thc, you don't suck in a whole bunch of butane, you don't use much fuel, and, you don't flash torch all your thc.
all the crap in the west and zilch for sustainable methods that don't require you to buy shit. there is so much crap that no one in the u.s. knows how to do because generations ago, their ancestors got sold onto using some kind of crap. i for one would like to find out, through a *non western* source, how fire was carried in ancient china.. all the chinese movies i've seen use the same kind of object for lighting things, and i have no clue what it is.
