Well besides being a fert, it could also be used a an animal deterent. It would keep deer and such away. I think it is considered a predator manure. Not that elephants are predators but everything with any sense will get the hell out of their way.

Why not try it for a fert?

If you live close to a zoo, or if a circus comes to town, it is worth asking about their 'waste problem'. Elephant manure is highly prized by gardeners, both for its quality and quantity. And it will often be delivered by the trailer-load, free of charge.

Does elephant manure give you bigger buds? Can I start with giraffe shit to get taller plants and switch to elephant shit in bloom cycle to get bigger buds?

Elephants are vegetarians, therefore IMO their manure can be used, however I don't know where we could find the average NPK contents lol. Just make sure it is well composted, as you would do with any manure, before using it.

Hey Pops, giraffe manure will make 'em stretch, buddy.

You'll also want to try to pick out all of the peanuts before adding it to your soil mix. :)

The Three Little Birds did a thread "The Scoop on Poop" if anybody can dig that one up. I don't know if it included elephant guano though.

That's pretty much what I was thinking, however it is possible that both digestive systems are slightly different, thus giving a different microfauna in both manures.

Elephant manure isn't very good. It needs to be further composted, as it is a bit "raw" compared to perhaps bunny poop.

It is however good for growing mushrooms straight up.
