Electrician HELP... please
Background:
I am growing in an outdoor shed. I tried for a very longtime to make lightproof (stealth) and I'm as close as I can ever be. It is hooked up to a circuit breaker that is 20 amps by romex 2 wire with ground without the metal around the wire (just yellow plastic, is that illegal?). I am running a 1000w switchable light, 12 plant DWC, 465cfm fan and an AC and a few more tiny stuff.
Problem:
Everything works fine until I put on the AC. The temps get over 95 degrees in the summer easily by using the fan only. That's why I installed a portable AC. However, when everything is running, the circuit breaker jumps. I guess I'm sucking too much juice. Over 9 amps for the lights, about 7.5 amps from AC, plus the other tiny stuff. It was a pain in the neck to run power outside because then I had to cut metal pipe and put the wire through it. I had a wack electrician help me before (I think I probably knew more than him, and I don't know much about electricity). However, now that the room is a "grow room" I have to do everything myself. Another problem is, my circuit breaker box is packed!! I had to put some stuff together to free up a breaker for the shed. There is a 100 amp breaker (main power?) that has a lot of wires and it takes up alot of space. It takes up the bottom row too because it is so big.
Solution:
1. I was thinking of making the room 9 plant system and downgrading to 600watts. I really don't want to do this because I made a 12 plant system. I will have to buy new lights, new bulbs, reflector, etc. So I will spend probably $400+ I'm guessing. Not only that, I was planning to have 6 different breeds, 2 of each. But this will be the least amount of work but in the long run, less product. So much work for a 600watt GR?
2. I was talking to a Home Depot guy, I don't trust them much. But he suggested I make a sub-box to have more circuit breakers. I definitely can't do that! I will have to hire an electrician. He said I just can't just make the 20 amps breaker to a 25 or 30 amp because the wire will get to hot and I will burn down the house. How much to have an electrician do a sub box? Then I will have to run a wire all the way to the shed again!! What a pain in the ass! Is there wire I can run that will be less work? So i don't have to do the pipes again? Like exterior wire? I saw some at home depot but I can I use that? It was covered in gray plastic instead of the yellow I'm using. The one surrounded by metal doesn't look waterproof.
3. Can I change the breaker to 25amp or 30 amps? Is it the same size as the 20 amps breaker? Remember I don't have anymore space in the box. And I don't wanna burn the house down!
I'm out of solutions! Can you guys help me out? Give me a solution if I'm missing it! If not, which is the best? Thanks in advance.
