electrical question?

i have two 150w hps magnetic ballast that i want to wire together to one power cord will this be safe? i will be putting them in a tool box and dont want to run them on separate timers.

A 150 watt ballast will only draw 1.25 amperes. Times 2 that's 2.5 amperes. Even the cheapest Chinese timer will handle the load.

btw the transformers say 3.1current, 4.4 starting

So just like with any electrical load problem...add those two together since you want them to be on the same timer...that's 8.8 amps and make sure you get a timer that's rated high enough to cover that. Every electrical fixture will have that info on it.
