Electric bike recommendations?

As most know I'm pretty banged up. Spinal cord injury That's what brought me to weed.

I have adopted a dog to help with depression. Only problem is he won't stop running. He has border collie in him.

I can't drive anymore.

It's to far to walk to the dog park. For me not him.

I was thinking of buying an e-bike. I can roll a few joints for the park. Hop on my bike with a long leash and head to the dog park.It will be a great relax time.

With the electric bike I won't have to pedal home. It would be nice to have a little carrier just in case my dog can't run home. Hurt.

So after all that, I'm looking to buy a decent E-bike. $2,500 tops. I'm only 5'7" 160lbs. I would like the look and function be towards a mountain bike.

Any advice

I want a Juiced Hyperscorpion or an Onyx RCR. Check those models out. The Onyx is double your top price though.

Edit just saw you want a mountain bike shape - Juiced has those models too.

I tried some e-mountain bikes lately and for sure you need to pedal to move forward :)
If you don't want to pedal you need a different kind of bike, maybe get an electric scooter.

Cheers

this is spot on

most e-bikes are actually peddle assist; where you get much more output per revolution because of the electric motor
/they are amazing to ride and it feels like you have the same legs you did when you were a kid
border collies are very intelligent animals but also a very high motor breed of dog
that is so cool you found a new family member and i hope the two of you have all kinds of great adventures

at that price point you will be more likely to find something like a commuter bike...but the best thing you can do is find a bike shop that sells them and try some out...and as several people have noted, most e-bikes require you to pedal..

E bikes can go 20mph without peddling and top 39mph with peddling.
Just so people know.
I'm leaning towards a trek mountain e-bike. $5,000
Looks like it would last.
I have no problems peddling I just need the bike for hills and to make biking easier.
Either an e-bike or some kind of sled with wheels that the dogs an pull me in:)

So I bought a radpower bike 2 years ago. I have put 4400 miles on it in 2 summers. I commute 25 miles a day round trip on it. I also ride it on forest roads and mountain bike trails. I abuse the hell out of it. Its built like a tank at 60 lbs but the battery is as good as the day I got it. I have only replaced the rear tire at 1800 miles. This second tire is better as its still going with 2600 miles on it. I have ridden it in snowstorms and driving rain for miles. 1499 shipped to your door U.S

Most e bikes have a throttle and enough power to go without any pedaling at all. If its hilly not so much. It will get u up a pretty decent grade though if you aren't to big a dude or chick.

One thing that is a drawback is that you need temps between 50 and 80 to charge the battery. If its 85 its ok if you have wind or a fan blowing on the charger but any hotter and no charge.

I have looked at juiced and some other bikes. I used to ride motocross and climb shale pits when I was a kid and I wish the e bikes had some torque. Its more of a momentum type thing to get speed out of them. Juiced has one thats more powerful than mine but its another 10 lbs heavier and an extra 1000 or two. Cannavore have you seen a juiced or ridden one ?
