El Problem-O. Outdoor 100% Coco in 10g smart pots

Hi Guys,

Running into some issues with one of my plants. The one that we nick named Hart-Ing because its always been lacking. Started loosing water leaves a week ago and noticed that these spots were climbing up the stalks towards the flowers. I flushed it twice over the last two weeks and put a layer of organic top soil over some organic chicken turds to fertilize and cover the roots and coco. The buds at the top are nice but the core of the plant is getting bare, on the flip side I guess its good for the plant to conserve energy and produce some nice flowers. But I'm concerned that I might start reducing bud growth.

10g smart post in 100 %coco. Hand watered once daily in morning with ph'd water.
They vegged with AN Flora Grow, then switched to a combo of Flora Grow and BC Nutes for flower.

Any ideas. Thanks

Those dark necrotic spots might be a calcium deficiency but look maybe to be more of a systemic mold infection. Hard to say. the general yellowing you are seeing is definite hunger. I'd bring up your feed levels, bump the calcium, for 2 or 3 consecutive feedings to see what impact it may have.

Any chance we could get some pictures that show us more of the plant. And maybe a little story about the plants?

I like stories.

I think your problem is from inconsistency. When you are in coco you want to be consistently strong. The little bit I can see doesn't look good. I could make guesses all day but they are likely to be stupid without more information.

Thanks for the response guys. I can tell you that this is my first grow, and have learned a ton a long the way with coco.

I water infrequently, I try to keep the roots moist between rain and waterings. They get fed on a infrequent feeding schedule as well. I have made many amendments to their growing schedule as I come into unexpected weather, a friends lack of watering while on vacation, etc. The next thing is, when I get them on the right track and we are on a good schedule something always comes up. Like, roots showing so I had to top dress them. But knowing me, rather than just using a neutral medium I mixed in some organic chicken shit and top soil, now making this grow a hybrid of mediums. So, I'm also adapting to their change in medium.

Top dressing coco with a good organic composted topsoil helps a lot with water retention during the longer days. I have also started watering them twice a day. Each watering occurs at 8am and 2 or 3pm, about a gallon each plant each time. I have noticed that they are perking up from this, I have also flushed them and slowly started bringing up their nutes on a much lighter mix.

My feed schedule is a mix of Flora Grow and BC Bloom. its a 3 day cycle.

day 1 - each day 4 gallons/2plants = 2 gallons per plant per day
8am 2 gallons ph downed water + 1/4tsp flora grow
3pm 2 gallons ph downed water

day2
8am 2 gallons ph downed water + 1/4tsp BC Bloom
3pm 2 gallons ph downed water

day 3
8am 2 gallons ph downed water
3pm 2 gallons ph downed water

The plant on the left has a canopy of about 55" and has a bunch of smaller buds. The one one the left has about a dozen large colas forming. its many small vs few large. I have to harvest these plants before September 15th so the race is on. I also don't want to be feeding them for much longer, but I got worried when the plants started turning yellow and getting spots from deficiencies or whatever?

I can answer any other questions you guys might have. Not sure if the photos are right side up, can't figure out how to rotate them.

After seeing more of your plants, I think they look good. Maybe a little light on the nutrients but it seems you know that.

I'm not sure why you have to chop by the 15th, but I hope you got some quick girls!
