El Niño concerns in the Sierra foothills

So now there's an 80% chance of a moderate to HEAVY El Niño this year. This is my first year outdoors in the Sierra foothills and I'm at 2600 feet. How concerned should I be about early rains and heavy snow?

if its anything like the last El nino... most outdoor will get virtually ruined, I mean many people grow and smoke contaminated moldy shit anyways but I can't imagine many varieties being able to survive the type of monsoon like downpours for days on end like we had in like '97... without a greenhouse.

that would suck!

people should be prepared for a shitty season if we start seeing it by august and september like last time

I did some research on El Niño . I says that Pacific Northwest can be drier than normal. So maybe and Indian summer. Southern Cali/ Mexico usually gets smashed with rain. So it depends how far north it will make it. Giving me some hope we can finish this season off proper. Fingers crossed
