effect of freezer on fresh buds with seeds

What effect does dry ice extraction have on fresh wet buds with seeds in them? Will overnight freezer exposure then dry ice exposure ruin a seed? Fresh seeds stratifying in cold weather before curing a problem? I'm thinking obviously the wet bud in extreme cold will kill them but I would like to hear what others think. What effect on abscicic acid esp on uncured seeds? Dry cold is one thing but wet bud is another. Just looking for any info from anyone who has tried this. I'm just wondering if anyone has pulled this number off? once again I understand that stratification is different w/ much different temps and not really a cannabis thing but I want to know if its been done before?

As far as the acid, what gives?

I suppose you could CAREFULLY dry seeds after tediously picking thru the mush. If I had a choice I would air dry and make sift. But air drying large amounts is not always doable.

Keep seeds dry. If in wet plants it makes no difference to me frozen. Obviously they get rained on and CAN germ in the flower.

Ok thanks as far as the abscicic acid is concerned the following links are good sources for exploring the role of abscicic acid in a seed breaking dormancy. I don't want the seed to feel the cold then the favorable warmer dryer condition and stop responding to the dormancy caused by abscicic acid. I don't want them losing their response to ABA Thanks again

I would not use a chem. Kelp meal can help germ and transplant shock plenty. It's a weed and wants to thrive. Control is another issue.

Seeds must be dried very thoroughly (>5% water content) to survive freezing.

You're going to kill them all.

Sounded like it's just fresh frozen bud with seeds. Anything else like in a block lf ice would be dumb....lol

Buds & seeds freeze

Will overnight freezer exposure then dry ice exposure ruin a seed?
NO!

Fresh seeds stratifying in cold weather before curing a problem?
NO! Cannabis is well adapted to cold environments.

What are you asking here?

Sure it probably has been done in the past but what are you really asking? Your questions seem a bit convoluted with how they’re worded.

once again I understand that stratification is different w/ much different temps and not really a cannabis thing but I want to know if its been done before?

Almost all cannabis seed I’ve experience with seems to germ better AFTER stratification. Cannabis is a temperate climate plant & as such has adapted to the conditions in which it grows. I’m pretty sure the Himalayas go through some extreme weather & cannabis has survived that environment for eons.

As for subjecting seed to crypto temps...
I don’t think that’s going to hurt the seed much either.
A good buddy of mine was blasting away & tossed all his spent material in the back yard to compost. Next spring there were seedlings galore!

I've been trying to stratify some autumn olive seeds. These are very difficult seeds to germ (might have to try again for some cuttings). Put them in the fridge in some soil, after they sat out for a little. Just pulled 3 in soil from the fridge, after 3 months in there. Nothing popped up yet and don't want to go digging just yet.
