Eeekk! Girls are all droopy! New Mom Scared!!

L

Hey everybody. I may be just a worried Mother, but when I checked my gals this afternoon, they were all droopy.

I'm growing in soil, hadn't watered for about 4 days. No chance it's overnute.

I'm worried they may have gotten chilled.

The canopy temp lites on is 82. Last nite's low temp was 62, even though I had a heater set on 65???

Hope they were just thirsty. They looked fine last nite. I watered them with about 3/4 gallon of pH'd water with tiny amount of runoff noted.

Would put up a pic, but can't quite figure it out yet.

Any help appreciated, Thank You Very Much in Advance!!

This isn't necessarily true. Not watering in a while will leave the medium dry. Then, although you didn't feed nutes in the last instance, the stuff that's still there from last time concentrates and can burn a plant badly. The pH drops and can cause wicked nute lock outs, too.

That's not enough to do any damage.

Test the pH level of the run off water. If it's higher than what you're pouring in, then you've underwatered.

THANK YOU MR STINKY & PRAY FOR PISTILS! :)

Just checked em again and they look about 40% better. I will keep an eye on em and let ya know how they are doing!

This indoor gardening is a lot harder than outside, where I am comfortable. Seems first I over water and now under water......

I noted they are needing another transplant, little rooties out the bottoms....Just transplanted em to 10 litre pots about 2 weeks ago. Guess I better get out the BIG pots!

Thanks again for taking the time to give me your opinions! I am a lot more comfortable outdoors! Inside is new to me!

That's the challenge with soil in a container. I moved away from that stuff and into coco coir and never looked back. Then, for this season, I switched to hemp buckets using 3/4 perlite and 1/4 vermiculite. You just pour the water/nutes in and let 20% come out the bottom. There's not much more to it than that. It's EASY.

Have fun!

Glad to hear they are okay LolaGal!

I remember I had some 2-3 foot plants in veg still and they got really thirsty. The branches where wilted at 90 degree angles straight down! Not even 12 hours later and they had fully recovered!

Now you have a good idea of how to "read" the plants instead of just watering X number of days.. I have been growing for 9 some months now and have yet to produce any bud so I'm a parent who worries all the time too!

What sort of challenge are you facing, catman? You could have several crops within 9 months after first growing from seed...
