grew it last year grown SCROG style many branches, i found mostly sativa phenotypes , quite loose bud clusters, the plant will stretch a lot when switched 12/12 i found. quite a mild sweet odor on the phenotypes found possible stealth strain maybe, the buds dont look great imho , but the high is like the finest unseeded jamaican really "old school " high. great daytime smoke , leaves u capable of most activities and puts a contented smile on ur face! The indica phenotype sounds interesting let us know how it goes!
I quite disagree with you. I grew out a pack and found the phenotype variation too vast and not very uniform. I even found that some of them were poor smoke while other were excellent. I would not buy the strain again. Its not worth the premium of sensi or Ed. They should work a lot more on it and get something more stable. There are keepers but you will waste a lot to find them.
I grew 10 ersb seedplants along some ak47 and they matched the development nicely as to brancing and height. Its not so strechy even the very sativapheno i my opinion.
I have several pics in my gallery with ERSB and I have participated in many threads regarding ERSB. Use the searchfunction.

p.s. There a pic of a sativapheno in like 5 weeks bloom that i would have cloned had I known how delicious it was. Happy uphigh while the other pheno were somewhat couclocky

Satyr, i agree that some phenos are average in quality and it aint worth £90 per pack of seeds, its just that its nice to find a plant with that old school vibe, a refreshing change from newer stronger strains, but i suppose mandala strains have an "old school " vibe to the smoke for a 10th of the price! btw the pack of ERSB i got was from the first limited edition they released and seen as sensis quality seems to have plummeted over the years i wudnt be suprised if we got totally different plants

yeah the 15 seed pack , did u get the limited edition too? i think if the ERSB was for example £30, it would be considered good, but when a strain is £90 and with a title like " ed rosenthal super bud" it sort of leads u to expect the best strain ever when obviously its just seed marketing over - hypin

I reckon depending on the phenotype of ERSB that someone smokes they could think it was great or utter shit, if the right pheno is found tho and a mother made from it for cuttings then it could be a good find. im not suprised its an unstable strain aswell considering the genetics - thai, jamaican,afghan,african and another i cant remember - its gotta be hard to make all that stable.
Yep. I'm currently growing it also. I started a similar thread. I've done alot of legwork to get it to the flowering stage. First and foremost there was the cracking of the beans. Secondly, I had to find a gal. Once I did that, I re-vegged her and created a mom suitable for cuttings. I've just gotten to the phase where I now have ample and rather large vegative gals ready to go into flowering, as well as 1 small gal that I couldn't wait to flower. I can tell you that almost immediately she's got calyxes developing practically everywhere. It was the same when I was sexing the plants...almost immediate crystal development and the incredibly unique smell of "Razzles" candy-gum.

It is sad so many of the larger breeders have gone quantity over quality. The first goal is to meet the explosion in the American market in recent years. The flooding of new seed makers is more proof of unstable genetics. An F1 crossing of other peoples hard work put a label on it call it something fancy. Maybe it will get used in a song and win a Cup! But when the judges are still driving their parents cars and bumming smokes from people with jobs. What can you expect? I have been refining genetics on two hybrids for seven years now. I'm not even close to being finished. I have two years left in development. The irony is no seeds will ever be sold. I'm not having my hard work stolen and relabeled by some fly by night operation. I would really like to try the ERSD. No doubt there is some incredible possibilities in the genetics to be discovered.
