Grew it from a seedpack. Seeds purchased in AMS in 2007. "Debut Edition," such as it is.... lol...

Ran two clones from a mom that I have kept. Had some trouble germinating the beans, but got one good female - vigourous, good cloner. A bit sensitive to stress - re: rootboundness causes it, or subsequent clones to go into flower almost immediately....

Anyways, the Report.....

Tastes like a mexican from my younger days, with a hint of sweetness.
A deffo acrid flavour.

Bulky solid buds, lotsa red hairs..

Great daytime buzz. Not heavy, but one feels each hit.

A bit harsh. I have not dialed in the strain yet, perhaps I can make it smoother next time. I have a plant at 43 days, using the AN Connoisseur regimen on it. Still getting THAT dialed, as well.

Used GH 3 part plus other companies' additives - Modified Lucas Method. Until the end when I went to the AN line for ONE of the two. The AN plant was bulkier.

Will be excited to see how the ERSB clone does when Indoor room temps moderate a bit. Still did well. Finished in 61-62 days 12/12. In cooler temps I guess about 3 days earlier.

Proported to be a mix of 4 different sativas, I am satisfied with this pheno and will keep it. Because I like a Sativa buzz that is not anxiety-producing, and does not get in the way of sleep, like my Blue Dream, which I grow for a Med patient.

I also like the way Ed Bud kicks down good solid ROCK buds, running mostly all the way up and down the stems, even in temps up to 85 degrees F.. Again, in a cool room, I expect to see it do even better.

Took pics of plants and buds. Will publish as soon as I can find room on my computer... Wah...!!

THANKX FOR READING....

Rotsa Ruck w/all...!

eds from on older breed , miracle grow and tubes they say hehe
At least try to make some sense son ... Have you read any of his books on growing? There's a little more in them than "use miracle grow" type advice. Even a "master" like yourself could stand to learn a thing or 2 from Ed.

Thanks for the report on superbud stasis ... I can't wait to see the pics.

My pleasure WH... Thx for stoppin' in, Mm BC....

Fo' Sho' ---- Ed is old school...!

Fought for our freedom, even though a Family Man, as well as putting his name on a seedpack, lol.....

His papers kept me learning while I waited for the very first run of clones... Months of study.... I was semi-prepared to "Hit the ground Running," Due to Ed and Mel Frank's information. That was all there really was before Overgrow, Jorge, et al, and our present home, IC....

May not keep it. Will hold on to it, however, and run it in the cooler temps, to see if the yield is as good as it appears it could be.

Clone-wise, Gonna concentrate on the High End and the various Kushes that have been unearthed....

Done with the Hazes too. In fact, seeds in particular for a while. Been let down again, of late, by clones of seeds. Like one of 12 is worth keeping, on a GOOD day... A good few of the clones from the PKC Beans I tried exhibited Male Charachteristics. Scared the pis outta me..... Only one of 5 Females is seemingly stable, but would yo ubelieve in it if the other 4 went hermie...??? I must be nuts to finish it.... lol....

Until I can score some more DJ's Blueberry or Grape Krush, no more beans....

Too much work, & allocated space for little reward.

Shizzle - Da Ed is harsh smoke...! Rather UN-Sweet... But, I like the multitude of hard rock buds in a warm summer room.

Fun to think of it being 4 Equatorial Sativas. The taste and buzz are believable as a sativa... The buds seem indica....

dudes, i wouldnt know anything if it wasnt for ed, i got mad loven no direspect. but i aint comparing my views of the world, and all technology available now to my grandpa, thats all i meant. MUCH LOVE ED> I was laughing at the way he described the weed, reminded me of gradeschool bud. shits changed alot since then. not genetics but methods. il bet any money if you asked ed to choose an la kush or "jamiacan red hair" hed be stoked on the red hair, i would be too, but just for a joint or 2, digg?

Yeah, MM, this ED BUD is old school weed.... Tastes like the High Grade Mex we got in my youth. I look forward to seeing what it can do in a cool room, it yields well.

Nice report. I would like to see the pictures, though...

So, in your opinion, the seeds are worth the price???

A little help on the strain info (cut and paste):

The layering of Indica and Sativa qualities in this hybrid is a rare accomplishment. A superb balance of the best traits from each end of the cannabis spectrum has been achieved through expert selection over countless generations. The blend of tropical genes in Ed Rosenthal Super Bud's multi-faceted background is especially wide-ranging, representing Sativas from all around the equatorial zone - Africa, South East Asia, Central America and the Caribbean.

An amazingly succulent flower formation is ERSB's distinguishing feature. Different individuals show extra Sativa or Indica influence through subtle variations in the development and structure of their resin-soaked buds. Otherwise, phenotype variation is small, with a majority of plants flowering at the same speed and increasing their height by about 150%. A small proportion will show a jump at the onset of blooming, which first widens the gaps between internodes and later gives an even greater yield potential.

All females exhibit a flower structure bursting with Indica density that is made even fatter with the running Sativa tendency, resulting in buds that swell upwards and outwards to crazy sizes. A strong and incredibly sweet aroma of pineapple-punch is the dominant flavour across the strain.

The Sativa-leaning females make great multi-stem plants and produce huge oval calyxes which spiral into crooked bud-pyramids large enough to bend branches.
The Indica phenotype's flowers are distinct and impressive, building into voluptuous columns of snowy bud with main colas as thick as an arm. Their gorgeous snow-covered effect comes from a unique pistil formation - where the oversized antennae sprouting from each calyx are covered with a visible fuzz of tiny hairs - and (as always with a Sensi strain) from a stupendous covering of full-sized resin glands.

Ed Rosenthal Super Bud is gourmet ganja with cash-cropping potential - the only drawback being that growers may find those harvests hard to part with!

Flowering: 55-65 days

Height: 110-140 cm

Yield: 135 gr
