Ed McMahon dies at age 86

Cheers to Ed for a life well lived. Outside of his television career, he was a Marine pilot in WWII and later went back on active duty to fight in the Korean War... that takes some intestinal fortitude.

I grew up watching the Tonight Show from the staircase @ my folk's home, I just had to know what was so funny as to keep them awake from 11:30pm ~ 1:00am, in its early days the show ran for 90 minutes, I often got chased to bed but was able to watch many hours of the finest comedy on TV.......

He was an icon of 70's and 80's tv. Too bad his last years were marred by money worries, or so I gather from his interview on Larry King with his wife. He still had a multi-million mortgage debt on his Hollywood mansion and when health problems stopped him working and his cash flow dried up he was facing foreclosure and owed more on his house than it was worth.

Anyhoo...he had a pretty good run at 86 years old and I guess he's got no money worries where he's at now although his widow maybe in a tight spot.

RIP Ed............I wonder what Alf is up to these days??? I'm gonna guess malt liquor and cheap hookers......or maybe just a sweater
On his show all he did was chase and eat pussy. Sorry pussycats that is. I am sure he's still up to his same tricks.. I hear he and hugh grant are arranging something with eddie murpy. Something about opening up a brothel.. Might be a rumor
