ECSD and Bubba Kush

About day 10 of flower...

Been so busy lately haven't been really taking this grow seriously, but it seems to be takin care of itself just fine

Bubba Kush on the left, ECSD on right. I know it's bad to have them in the same rez but I tried separate rez's in beginning and had a lot of trouble with Scrog setup so I just said fuck it and moved em both to one tub. Similar flowering times and nute needs, so I think I should be OK.

Plant shot are great looking and the Bubba buds are absolutly beautiful. Really love the color on them.
I know the Bubba can take a high rate of nutes, but how high of a nute rate can the ECSD take on the table with the Bubba without running into problems or on its own? I guess what I'm asking is how nute sentisive is the ECSD in your opinion when compared with the Bubba.

Kinda weird actually, the Bubba seems to do better on lower nutes, I've had to raise it for the ECSD slightly cuz it was lookin a litttle pale. That ECSD is a sativa monster now, very thin leaves and very fast growing since flowering started...I hope it doesn't out stretch the Bubba...

Then again this is the first time I've grown out this ECSD so I don't know what to expect later on at all.

Thanks for the info. I've got a buddy with a Bubba that will fed at some incredably high rates in hydro and still seem to beg for more. Never seen a plant like it. Never grown out the ECSD and was wondering about the feed rate(how high can it take, etc) and that was the basis for my question. Best of luck with the grow. You've got 2 of the most sought after strains there and will be intresting to see them finish out side by side. Will be checking in to watch em.

Yeah, now that you mention it I've never managed to overnute the Bubba. Just seems to take what you give it, although I've noticed it is very finicky with PH and salt buildup...always gotta make sure that I keep a fresh rez and good PH or the Bubba starts to show me with some crisping/yellowing on the bottom and sometimes near the top.

Expect the ECSD to Stretch like Holy Hell!LOL Bubba doesn't stretch at all, I wish it did! But the ECSD will remind you alot of the SFV as it stretches, and stretches and stretches!LOL But IME it "catches" the stretch a bit more creating bigger fluffier spears/buds compared to little rock hard O.G. Nugs that the SFV produces. Yer Bubbz looks phenomenal BTW, I don't know whether or not you specified it's a cut or S1 but Bubba is one of the few strains that I can honestly say has the ability to produce S1 pheno's that can vary often times be better than many of the Bubba cuts IMHO~ You my friend from the looks of those pics have found one of them but for thorough investigation I would require a bud sample!LOL

Yeah, my OG S1 stretched like hell and the ECSD seems to do the same...has very similar plant structure IMO.

The bubba I obtained from a med club. I asked the owner if he was aware of S1 and stuff, and he assured me he knew about them and this was authentic. I've debated with myself over and over...it does have slightly different smells and tastes than most Bubba I've tried...more sweet than earthy like a lot of the Bubba I've had but I was light on the nutes.

It's pretty special bud regardless. I was straight addicted to this stuff the entire time I had it (gone now lol). I was a fiend for it...it's more than just smoking to get high with this stuff, it's like smoking for the whole bud experience. The immensely pleasureful mint/kush/diesel/earth taste seems to meld with the high perfectly to create a very "kushed" out feeling with very heavy eyes. Definitely a sleepy bud if you let her go for a long time...but also has trippy effects to it. It just had me goin back for bowl after bowl....such a smooth smoke too...lights up beautifully and evenly....ahh. I could go on forever.

It's one of those buds that you smoke in a room and someone would think it was a very pleasant strong perfume of some type.

looks great Og!.........about that ECSD cut...........if its the one from me, she does stretch......about double.........nothing like a true equatorial though.........this cut will run fairly long, but is the true ECSD in my opinion.......she throws small-calyxed, mouthwatering sativa spears covered in millions of small trichomes............as opposed to the fat calyxed, Rez influenced cuts that many pass off as ECSD, when they are really just "SD 2.whatever"......those fat calyxes come from the NYCD rez originally crossed it with.......thats my opinion after years of researching and growing the different variations/fakes...........she will blow you away with her taxonomy, and thump your head with her stone.........enjoy!

I'm glad to hear that. I have a lot of friends that recently picked up Sour Diesel clones from elsewhere and they are definitely more indica looking. So hard to find the real deal nowadays, even though they are all pretty good nonetheless.

And from what I've seen from your grows you will make that Bubba shine
