Easy to clean dehuey recommendation?

Can anyone make a recommendation on a dehumidifier for my grow room, that is easy to keep clean of algae mold and mildew?
I recycle the dehuey water, so I don't have to carry so many buckets up the stairs.
It would be nice if I could order one that disassembled easily for cleaning.

THe one I'm currently using is a 60-65 pint a day, and I use a garden hose to drain it into a reservoir.

Any ideas?

Is this a sealed room or are you recycling the air from outside?
Mold grows from airborne spores, so the fact that it's showing up in the unit means it's in the air around your plants.

70 pints a day is kinda the max for consumer grade machines so I suspect you are already near the top of the range for that kind of system.
Those consumer grade machines are not made to be easily taken apart. The filters in them are removable and cleanable, but maybe not so effective.
Commercial grade machines that might be easier to clean will typically go for more than 3x the price (if that is a concern for you.)

If you are having problems with algae/mold inside the unit, then you could improve the filtration of the air getting into it.
You could try taping some regular home AC panel filter material over the intake. Understand that the better the filtration, the lower the airflow, so you may need to get creative.
Building a plenum to hold the filter panels would allow you to use larger filters than the dehu intake area, thus increasing airflow without reducing filter effectiveness.

You could also try some of the tech that AC systems use, by finding a way to mount a small UV floro inside the unit.

I just tend top take a holistic view to the presence of mold spores in the environment, and would prefer to keep them out as much as possible.
Towards that end, I have the goal of using filters on all fans used in the grow space. Every time you move air, you have a chance to scrub it.

I initially thought you were inquiring about a dehumidifier for which it was easy to clean the (typically) aluminum cooling fins on the condenser; they don't exist. At least, not that I've found.

For the bucket and related apparatus, you might take a 5% bleach solution and rinse the bucket with it, run it through your hose(s), and maybe spray it inside and outside f the cooling fins on your condenser, providing you can keep it away from smaller internal rubber hoses (if any exist), or wiring.. Rinse everything with clean water after the 5% bleach solution cleansing.

I had to use them on occasion in the past when the HRV would act up, mostly in winter, and still have a couple of them here. I don't regret not having to run them for the last bunch of years.

And if you have pets, especially shedding animals like dogs, or other sources of fine airborne contamination, then the cooling fins can become a nightmare in a short while.

Go with what ever well-reviewed model provides the absolute longest, best warranty.

Thanks for the info guys. Somehow I was locked out of my own thread. Now let me go back and tell mods, it's working.

I definitely need to try to sanitize this one and certainly the hose. I see shit coming out the hose. This dehuey was used and dirty when I got it loaned to me, but I needed it.
I'll clean this hose and whatever inside parts I can reach and find a decent comparable model so I can return this one to my buddy.
