Anyone have experiences of landraces from Kyrgyzstan ,Tajikistan or Wester China? Have seen travel footage of plants growing everywhere wild...such mountainous countries that there must be some dank grown village by village for hash production etc

Cannabiogen has/had a strain called taskenti that was uzbekistan. seedsman has a strain called Ata tundra that is an Alaskan x Kazakhstan.
I own the Ata tundra seeds, but haven't popped em. Not even sure if cannabiogen offers his strain anymore.
I don't have any real experience. I would assume some super indica plants similar to other mountain strains would come from there. Really interesting part of the world tthat's overlooked.

I grew out the first release of taskenti years ago. Nice creamy fruit flavored herb, fairly stoney, tall old school indica..

Thanks guys. Have known of Taskenti but it seems sold out or out of production for past 2 years. Guess best thing to do is just plan visit n hope to score some beans just sucks its such a difficult place to travel too

iirc the actual Tashkenti release was a hybrid made by crossing an Uzbek charas plant with a Northern Lights

I'm not aware of any other strains from these specific countries being available to buy from seedbanks

however, Chitral is immediately next door to Tajikistan and Western China (a very thin strip of the Hindu Kush of just a few km called the Wakhan Corridor separates them)

the old charas caravan from Western China to the Indian plains would travel through Chitral down Yarkhun Valley

the Chitral strain RSC has now is from Yarkhun Valley

so for now if you want access to these types of seeds that is your best bet

just remembered that there was a bank many years ago that sold a Tajik strain, but I forget the name
