hi folks good day.

i am growing the first cuttings of my thaitanic seed i sprouted last year. i let it go 10 weeks. fortunately, i got two more sprouted females, each with a little different leaf type, but thats a new thread in the future.... ;)

so last time i noticed fully developed stalked trichomes, at 6 weeks was when i first noticed although i wasnt looking as close as this time....here is a pic at 36 days closeup of one of the cuttings....

should it be harvested sooner?

should it be harvested sooner?

so its like not usual i think to see fully developed clear balls that early, most strains i dont think its like that....?

so maybe i should harvest one earlier or something... just looking for input from growin' dudes who know something..

Hash,

I know what you are experiencing but i wouldnt worry as it is clearly normal....Thaitanic is mostly sativa if i reckon correctly...and sativas have a 4 week harvest window really so i wouldnt be surprised is you are seeing trichomal development so soon and Thai-tanic has a skunk father which may also cause early maturation....but i would say leave it 10 weeks and observe the trichomes with a 30X mag. and watch for a good balance of milky and amber trichs...maybe u can even leave it for 12 weeks if everything is boomin'

good luck

A finished sativa would look like that picture, but with heads 4X larger and cloudy-white and amber. Realistically, I'd shoot for the mostly cloudy white and swollen. Those trichomes just look like young trichomes to me, like tiny green apples weeks from harvest...

Most strains actually do have early trichomes (from week 2 or 3 on...). They look just like those.

Pure asian sativas shouldn't finish before 10 weeks, but potent herb can be harvested earlier, just not ripe...

cool crazy, thanks a lot. some strains , maybe they are there, but they usually have shorter stalks.. i can see these babies with the naked eye...which must be a sativa thing i am thinking maybe?
