hello!! i am a beginner in growing..but i know quite much of growing from my friends..

on 3/03 was the birthday of my 20 plants!!the 6 of them are special scunk and the 14 are big bud.at the beggining the tempreture seemed to be perfect(25 degrees C) and their growth was very fast.but in the end of april the tempreture got higher..and today the tempreture is 34 degrees C into the grow room!!.the plants are green enough.i 've made them one transplant at 29/04 and after two days i put them under 12/12 so they started flowering..

the lamp i am using is 600watt of sodium.and i put them(when i water them) 1ml biogrow/1ml biobloom in 1L of water.everything was going perfect until....:

it's been two weeks now that they seem to get ready(the 80% of the hairs of the buds are getting orange-browned) but it's very early to be,because of the fact that the need 8 weeks in flowering and now they are in the 5th week.also the buds are not very big and they don't seem to getting bigger!!this not happens for all the plants (hopefully)..i mean that the other plants they still have white buds.

i think this fact has to do with the high tempreture so i use two fans,i am showing you some photos and i am hoping to give me an answer for if i have to harvest the plants that are orange-brown or if the will flower more..

thank's in advance!!

Pistils turning color in the 5th week is just a sign of maturity. Check the trichs under a scope if it makes you feel more comfortable, but please give them at least another two weeks. They won't triple in size or anything ridiculous, but they will fatten up some and pack on resin.

Resist the temptation to chop!

thank you very much for your reply!!

my real concern is about if they 'll "lose their thc" if i leave them more time to flower..as they seem from their hairs to be ready..

I had something similar happen to me, do you have high humidity or did you spray them with something recently?

something worse happened..!!i smoke one of them that seemed to be ready..but it was like smoking straw!!!!

can something like that happens due to high tempreture or the seeds were not good?

almost all of the hairs of that plant were brown but it had not much crystals!!!i did the same experiment to another that had more crystals and the result was the same ,"straw"...

i am very dissapointed.. : :wallbash:

yes hi temps will kill taste and smell

Plants pack on most weight at the end so 5 weeks is way early and don't believe what the breeder tells you about eight weeks....you harvest by trichome colour...hairs are a very rough guide to when the plant is ripening...my plants go around 90 days....that's right ...12 weeks and that's an indica..

potency is a matter of genetics...

your tester sucked because it's way too early to smoke it and you need to properly dry/cure bud so you don't get that straw taste.

holy... 70% humidity.. you need to drop that to about 40 - 50%

True that....with your high temps and high RH you are almost certainly gonna get bud rot. I hope you have good air circulation as well as exhaust ventilation.

Weed doesn't just come off the plant tasting great AFAIK
It's gotta be flushed and cured properly at least..
Grown properly helps too but its not going to cause your stuff to taste like hay
