Early harvest for better colored live resin

What is everybody's opinion on harvesting plants early for the sole purpose of producing lighter colored live resin? Legit or Bullshit?

I personally prefer to harvest when the trichomes are cloudy, but if you wait until they turn amber, it does darken the concentrate.

Concentrate from clear trichomes is racier than that from amber trichomes, which have better sedative qualities.

Some strains are lighter than other, with some strains like Skywalker almost colorless.

Flushing is way more important when you are smoking the material, than dabbing concentrate. When smoking, the plant capillaries are full of what you've been feeding it, but if you extract frozen, it minimally affects the trichomes on the outside of the leaves and flowers.

We flushed anyway, before pulling the fan leaves and hanging a week or so. At that point we could jar it or extract it.
