EARLY FLOWERING

I am having a problem with European sourced strains and am wondering if U.S strains are different .I am at 30 degrees south .I plant at the september solstice .I bought some Sensi skunks among others thinking they would grow into large plants .Unfortunately they behaved like autoflowers ,budding at about a foot high.Did i plant them too early,:peacock: therefore triggering flower due to short photoperiod? or is it that my environment is so different to Europe that the plants get confused in some way? I have had successfully large plants from Europe eg Kaya Gold was a good one ,very tough ...but i am thinking of trying Californian stock as I think the Europeans grow indoors and the Cali stock may be more suitable for my hot subtropical environment ?? any input would be appreciated ..especially from Cali growers

flowering at different lattitudes

flowering at different lattitudes

Dear sir:

I have just finished reading the following thread (by BackCountry) : "Finishing times, Photoperiod, Latitude, and how it all works!!"

link - https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=63715

Please look for posts by lambsbreath "live near equator" and there issues with flowering different strains.

Note: is long post but covers lots of different latitudes and show things work at each.

Also, this forum has a thread called "Florida Growers Thread; Reloaded". All of these growers are at 30 degrees but north. remember same rules but out of phase by 1/2 year "I think". Post there

Was going to suggest similar.

As far as getting outdoor breed seeds you will probably have to ask the breeders specific questions regarding their breeding methods. Best done via PM. Get your post count up (50) so you can use that feature.

I'm not positive who breeds OD anymore.
But my projects are typically are done at 7000ft in a pinyon/juniper/sage forest in CO.

IMO, your best bet would be to get what you like and breed them yourself so the progeny will acclimate to your environment.
