I guess it had to happen: Electronic spliffs......:
"A Dutch company has invented the world's first electronic joint.
Dutch manufacturers E-Njoint BV claim the e-spliff is harmless as it contains no tobacco, nicotine or Tetrahydrocannabinol.
With the typical conical shape of a real joint, the cigarette has a chrome plated tip where a cannabis leaf lights up with every puff.
E-Njoint say the cigarette is 100% legal in Holland - home of Amsterdam's famed cannabis cafes - however their legality varies across the continent due to different laws.
Menno Contant, CEO of E-Njoint, said: 'Holland is well known in the world for its tolerant and liberal attitude toward soft drugs and the introduction of this new product clearly makes a statement.
'As long as you don't bother or disturb other people and stay within the legal boundaries, all is well.
'Everyone should feel fine, because what we are doing is no crime.’
Available in six different fruit flavours, there are currently 10,000 e-joints sold per day across Europe.
The next step for the electronic joint is as a possible health product, as the company are working with Medical Cannabis Company to share knowledge.
