E-Cigarette!! Whose vaping??

So I got a gift card to our local "Vapor Store" for Xmas and went out to grab my 1st E-Cig a few days ago.. So far I must say, I am impressed!! I had tried a few different e-cigarettes in the past year or so and have been wanting to get 1 for myself to try out recently, and finally got to take the plunge..

Being about a pack-a-day smoker for the past 10 years or so (sometimes half a pack, sometimes more), this seams like an excellent healthier & cleaner alternative to cigarettes! :woohoo:
... Since I finally got one of my own, it's pretty much been attached to my hand/face at all times lol.. I've only had 1 cigarette today when I woke up, and only about 5 or 6 since I got the e-cig about 2 days ago, which I did not plan or expect. :D

I picked up the SmooV Cig 900Mah battery and a "wick-style" Clearomizer tank and coil heads. The 900Mah battery is like the longest/biggest they have so it has a pretty long battery life and I think it's 3.7V. The tank I bought holds about 2ml of 'Juice' and the coil-head you put in it has a wick that absorbs and burns the Juice somehow.. I'm not too knowledgeable about the e-cig lingo and everything lol, but my tank looks like this:
CE5-clearomizer-400x275.jpg

.. I picked up a 12ml bottle of Toasted Marshmallow Juice from the shop and it is verryy tasty; I'm going back tomorrow to get a few smaller bottles to try out a few flavors, I'm thinking about the Mocha Latte, Swedish Fish, and Honey Badger.
.... You pick out the nicotine level for your juice, and I started with 14mg/mL. A cigarette has about 1mg usually, and I've vaped about 6mL the past 3 days but I've been hitting this thing constantly!

I spent about $75 to get started up, which included the SmooV battery, ClearOmizer tank, 5 Coil Heads (these last like 7-30 days each depending), and a 12mL bottle of Juice.. The Juice was $10 for 12mL which is a bit more expensive than other juices, but this shop makes their own juice formulas right in-store and it's the best shit, so it's worth it.
And if I go through about 5 bottles of Juice a month (which is a LOT), that's $50, which I could EASILY spend in a week on nasty cigarettes!! Do the math!!!!

So do we have any VAPERS on the boards?? Anybody tried it, think of trying it, do it daily, quit cigarettes with it? Any ideas on long-term health effects, compared to cigs?
.. It seems like a great healthy alternative to smoking cigarettes, or even for somebody who likes the occasional hookah/cig/cigar. Gotta love technology these days!
I'd love to hear your stories, opinions, and feedback you guys have on the E-Cigarette!!

Vaping after a smoke session is soo nicee :D

I realize this is the "Tokers Den" Nicotine Message Board but I was just wondering if anybody else here on IC had an opinions on these new E-Cigarettes and such??
.. I'm loving my new SmooV Cig with a tank full of Toasted Marshmellow Milkshake flavored-Juice right now! It's smooth & tasty, but still gives me a thick, satisfying cloud of vapor and great 'throat-hit' feeling as they say. I can't wait to go try out some new flavors at my Vape store tomorrow, I think I nailed my nicotine level at 14mg/mL, maybe I'll drop down to 12 in a week or so. :joint:

I've had NO plans to quit smoking cigarettes anytime recently until I got my own E-Cig, and have been a pack a day smoker for years like I said!! I'm surprised and excited that this might help me quit that nasty habit, and by how enjoyable it is. I can really see a lot of people switching over from smoking cigs, even social and non-smokers.

I searched and saw a lot about trying to use e-cigs with hash or green-tincture, and I've actually tried a few puffs of that myself once. But didn't see any threads on E-Cigs & Vaping your Nicotine in general.. What do you think of this?

Anything specific you want to know? Or have any questions? Im kind of an expert on the subject.....

Cant rave enough on the effectiveness of quitting smoking cigarettes. Your addicted to the nicotine, NOT the other 7000+ ingredients. E-Juice only contains 10-13 ingredients, ALL FDA approved for human consumption, all NONE carcinogen...

LOL @ Trippy Sticks, they should be called "Charged A Grip"....

They buy eGo sets at $30, throw there brand name on them and charge you 4 times there cost....

And they are not even chargethrough, which makes them even more cheaply made, LOL @ Trippy Sticks....

Yeah I'm LOVING my SmooV Cig so far.. It seems a lot like the EgoT, I actually noticed yesterday that they charged me for an Ego on my receipt but I got the Smoov 900Mah battery..

I don't know about "FDA-approved" but vaping this Juice HAS to be muchh healthier than those nasty tar-sticks I've been smoking for years. Not to mention I don't have to worry about the nasty smell, ash making a mess everywhere, going outside in the cold to smoke, among many things!!

Just so much better and better for me!

Hello all,

Could not agree more...I gave 27 years of my life to Phillip Morris.

It has been 11 years now since I quit cold turkey.

If you become dependant upon nicotine....well, you will do what you need to do for it...this is the truth.

So, it would seem that its matter of choice as to wether you want another vice and pay dearly for it or not.

Just my opinion.

Hi can I just correct you on a couple of things, I write an E-Cig EMagazine and have done my homework. You are absolutely correct in saying that nicotine is the addictive element of a cigarette however, in a conventional tobacco cigarette there are approximately 4000 ingredients however when lit, these ingredients turn into 4800+ toxic chemicals which are obviously not just inhaled by the smoker but passed around to others as second hand smoke. E-liquid, e-juices contain Vegetable Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Distilled Water, Nicotine & Flavouring. Some may contain ethyl alcohol instead of distilled water or as well as. Some e-liquids can be bought with more Vegetable Glycerin, even 100%, it has to be food safe standard. VG gives off much more vapour and because of the gloopiness of the VG the nicotine is dissipated so a stronger nicotine level is advised if you want a throat hit. I run an e-cigarette company and use a fantastic supplier for e-liquids, and there are 5 ingredients, I wouldn't use any other company for my e-liquids, I've tried so many and they tend to burn, they use sweeteners and colourings so perhaps that's why you think there are so many ingredients in e-liquids. My stance is that because I save so much cash by not smoking conventional tobacco cigarettes, I can afford the best product and the best e-liquid. Hope this helps, and I'm not putting down your knowledge in any way, shape or form. I will be so glad when this industry is regulated and there aren't so many ambiguous ideas about the e-cig and spurious products on the market. Being the patent holder of the eGo also helps and there are so many copycats out there - I like the phrase "I'm too poor to buy cheap" xx L

Love what you have to say and so glad you are seeing the benefits in the e-cig. I run www.cool-breeze-e-cigs.com and hear what you say about the cartos. We have developed a new pre-filled, safe seal cartomizer which does not use lint or fibre nor does it come into contact with any of the heating element which makes for a cleaner, safer and cheaper vape. You don't lose any e-liquid, the shelf life is 3 years as opposed to those which hold lint or fibre, it is cheaper because the atomizer doesn't burn out as quickly as the older designs on the market.

As a vendor I cannot make any medical claims, however as a personal user of the e-cig, I can tell you that I was treat for severe earaches, sinus problems, pains running up the side of my head and when I saw my ear, nose and throat specialist he refused to treat me unless I quit smoking because he said my throat was smoke damaged. I did quit as far as I'm concerned, I'm a non-smoker, I'm a vaper, I use nicotine which is about as addictive as caffeine, and after my first 14 weeks of vaping I had another appointment with the specialist, he said that my throat was looking so much better and he was pleased I had given up smoking. I didn't tell him I used an e-cig. After another 12 weeks I had a follow up appointment and he said my throat was back to normal - I knew this anyway as I didn't have problems with earaches, head pains, sinus problems any more and he discharged me. Once he said that I didn't have to go back, I told him that I had switched from smoking to vaping and he said that he knew well of the electronic cigarette and would be happy to recommend to other patients, so personally I know the medical benefits. The wealth benefits are fantastic too of course, and that's why I quoted earlier that buying cheap isn't good. We at Cool Breeze are the eGo patent holders so what we sell is the real thing, but there are literally thousands upon thousands of companies open and opening who sell spurious "knock offs" - it's not good for the industry as some people may well be put off by bad manufacturing and just wanting to make a fast buck. In an industry which is so saturated at the moment, it well worth taking the time to do some research.

There are a lot of people out there who say "just quit altogether" but some people don't want to, just as I didn't. I've never had another cigarette from the first day I started vaping, I've tried so many products and e-liquids, I've written many a review and I've done my research from the beginning of the cigarette to where we are at now with the e-cig and I see the e-cig as the way forward. For people who say smokers should quit altogether, they really mustn't judge. If someone could find an alcoholic drink that didn't cost the earth, didn't ruin your kidneys, heart and liver, people would jump at the chance to drink it, the e-cig works on the same principle, it is getting rid of the bad crap in cigarettes, the unnecessary stuff and making vaping so much more enjoyable with different flavours, kits to have and look after, mixing up the juices instead of lighting up and burning your cash away, why are there 4000 ingredients in a cigarette...because one sustains the other! Take a look at www.e-cig-gazette.com and click on the link to ingredients in a conventional cigarette. The cigarette had 40+ carcinogens in it, caffeine and coffee and formaldehyde, which is an embalming fluid!!

I'm so glad you are enjoying your experience, I hope you stick with it and only buy the best that your money can buy, you've managed to help yourself and that deserves a big pat on the back, so buy well, buy good and keep in touch x L

Tell you the truth, the ones for nicotine aren't really designed to last that long, about 6 months to a year, or 350-500 charges...

They are all made in China. All contain a small computer chip with a few solder points. Treating them rough, or leaving them in a hot car will mess them up...

Go with an eGo C passthrough upgrade kit, and you will have one of the better quality ones...

Its when you get into the vape pens that are designed for oils, that they get better quality on the inside...

Thanks for the input minds, and congrats on kicking the habit. I heard there's not to much info on the health effects of e-cigs/vaping, but it's a fact that there's wayy less chemicals, and no carcinogens or tar. And it tastes great and is enjoyable! I was thinking about weening down to 0-nicotine juice like some do..

B]lobby[/B], thanks man. I definitely get the best juice in my opinion, I have a store near me that has been taking oiff the past few years because everyone loves there Juices. Their juice is slightly more expensive than some you'd find online at about $9/14mL bottle, but they have created hundredss of great flavors that they mix up for you right there in the store, and many agree that they have the best juice; best vapor production, taste, variety of great flavors, throat-hit, - it's just excellent and many agree :D

masa, thanx for the input! You should definitely give one a try if you get a chance. There's a few different styles to try out. Definitely glad to see interest!

Juice, the style I have as I mentioned above might be good for you. The 900maH, 3.7volt pen-style battery has been lasting me at least 1.5 days on a charge, and that's with pretty much with me constantly vaping, it was $35. And I got a 2.5mL tank or "Clear-Omizer" for about $10, which when fully filled up lasts me alll day constantly vaping lol. I got 5 wicks/coil-heads (1.8ohm) for $13, and they're suppose to last a week or more each. :)
.... With the $10, 12mL bottle of Juice I bought, I spent about $70 to get all started up, that bottle of juice will last me at least a week if I vape a lottttt. I know a few people who have the same setup as me, and some of them have had their e-cig for over a year and haven't smoked cigs since.

Its great to see some interest in these!! Please keep all the feedback coming.. I love vaping my nicotine instead of smoking nasty cancer-sticks so far. I've tried many vaporizers too, maybe ill get myself a Volcano to go along with the groove! :joint:
