hey wally. well there is a bit of top soil in there, but mostly clay. they get full sun throughout most of the day, and i am feeding them natural liquid ferts with their water, their are also lots of huge worms in the soil helping to airate(sp) the soil and add some fresh castings too.

Right on Dylan... looks like some decent indica you have there.. Wally is right, maybe a small bag of mirclegro soil around the general grow area....:yes:

ya know we used to empty the soil from our indoor grows , and all the coco , perlite etc in a particular place in the garden for about a year , then added a bit of chicken poo , and man , the results were fantastic , used to sink in the soil , maybe a consideration for next year ?/ also gypsum is great for breaking up clay soils ... happy growing ...

thanks for the info guys! i do think i will put some soil down soon because the plants are starting to grow roots on top of the soil.

btw, what exactly is gypsum, wally?

its a clay breaker upper dylan , excellent for clay soils , makes them friable again ... but always good to add organic matter , get the worms doing the work for you ...

thanks, wally, i will try to get some gypsum for next year.

ok, it's been a week, so i will post some pics i took today. they're getting pretty clustered, dispite being tied down almost horizontal. i keep trying to spread them apart when i water them. another couple of months and they'll be some buds to show off :yummy:

I'd lay mulch down it keeps the moisture in and buffers other stuff. Next year when you work the hole tear the inside pad of a few desposible diapers out rip them up small and mix it in. The inside pad of the dyper is dusted with absorbant gel works like the water gel you find at the garden soil.

thanks for the posts sack and grape!

i have some water gels, grape, but for some reason i didn't use them . however, it probably would have been a good idea though because i have to water them about every 2-3 days lately. it has been in the 90s-100s here though with a mild drought the past few weeks. i hope i will have such good weather during the flowering.

this is what hurricane dennis did to my plants :badday: . only one payed the ultimate price, but others have injured leaves and branches :fsu: . these pics were taken after i cleaned most of the debrie off of them, but they're still all covered in mud. they should be fine if the rain stops for a while.........well maybe a light mist to help clean them off.

this is what happened to the other vegitation.

ok, here are some pics. they're all up to my chest now and have been really streching to prepare for flowering. i just gave them their first dose of bloom ferts and pulled a bunch of males.....about half of them, and one hermi that i transplanted into a pot to grow elsewhere just for fun. i couldn't get a good pic of a female, but i did get one ok shot. i also have a couple of shots of a male before i pulled it.

Glad too hear that some girls survived the 'cane. Sometime a little stress can produce bushes.
Let's see the ladies!
