Dying seedling transfer

We had a random seedling sprout in the pot housing another plant. We wanted to save it so we decided to transplant it. It's about 4-5 inches tall at this point and already has 2 colas because an ant came by and nibbled off the top. Anyway, the transplant didn't go so well and it lost some root. After a few days it's starting to wilt. I'm wondering what the best course of action for it might be? Treat it like a clone - scraping the stem and applying hormone? Pulling it up and letting it spread roots in a cup of water? Leaving it alone to avoid even more stress?

Let me know what you guys think is best. Thanks!

Cover it with a plastic cup 70 % humidity. Keep the soil semi wet. Keep it warm 75 to 80 degrees. Low to medium light intensity. Best you can do.

I have luck at times putting a bag over it with a rubber band around cup and exhaling some co2 in there every few hours, under conditions described above.

Great ideas guys. I'll let you know if it makes it, then we can smoke a celebratory bowl in its honor. Thanks!
