Dying leaves, stunted growth

How long has this problem been going on? About 2 weeks
What STRAIN are you growing? Mandala White Satin
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) Seed
What is the age of your plants? ~3 months
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? As long as they've been alive
How Tall are the plants? 8-12 inches
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? Mid/Late Flower
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) LST
What size pots are you using? Not quite sure, 1.5 gallon about
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using? Regular topsoil
What Nutrient's are you using? FloraNova Bloom
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? 2-3 tsp
How often are you feeding? Every other water or so
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? A week or so before flowering
What order are you mixing your nutrients? The bloom is all I've got, no nutes before flower
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? Not sure
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? Not sure
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? N/A
How often are you watering? About every three days at this point
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? I've flushed and stopped feeding this plant about a week ago suspecting an overfert
What size bulb are you using? 400W MH
What is the distance to the canopy? ~6-8 inches with cooltube
What is your RH Factor? Not sure
What is the canopy temperature? Pretty close to ambient with the cooltube, maybe 5-10 degrees above room temp
What is the Day/Night Temp? Room temp to 5-10 degrees above
What is the current Air Flow? I have a bathroom exhaust squirrel fan blowing air out from the cooltube
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ? Fan running 30 minutes before light turns on, and then 30 minutes after it turns off. Cabinet isn't really finished completely so intake is the cracked open door. Exhaust is an unobstructed hole through the cab which the fan is attached.
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? No
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? No
Is your water HARD or SOFT? Not sure
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Tap, water has a distinct but faint chlorine smell.
Are you using water from a water softener? No
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? No
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? No
Are plant's infected with pest's? No

Leaves burn up starting with the larger leaves (which are now largely nonexistent). Now it is starting to affect the bud leaves. Gave it a long flush-out in the sink about 3 days ago, seems to be delaying the sickness somewhat. Suspect over-fert because last feeding really destroyed it. Has a sister who was on the exact same feeding schedule and doing just fine.

Thank you.

First off, you need to check your ph. That light may be too close, and now that you are having problems you should definately raise it up some. I would say by the looks of it there are deficiencies all around, but this could be cause by something other then not enough nutes.

What do your roots look like? Gently turn it upside down and slide the pot off, and give us a pic or a description.

Where is this plant compared to the "sister"?

What is your "topsoil"?

My guess is root rot fucking up the program with nutrient uptake or ph is off. Topsoil is usually too dense for fast and easy growth. If you dug it up from the back yard, one may have gotten a dead frog in the pot or some shit.

Use RO or spring water.
Dont overwater/Fertilize.
Its better to have a deep watering once every few days than a light watering of the topsoil every day (which usually leads to overwatering and fungus gnats/mold).

Check PH and PPM of run off water after you flush with spring water.

Im sure experts can hone in on the problem better than I.

Sorry man, costly lesson but you learned.

The sister is pretty much right next to it...in fact you'd be hard pressed to tell they were different plants other than one is dying and the other is looking great. I rotate their positions every couple weeks or so. I don't mind learning, the light and temps are fine, in fact, I could do with lowering the light some but it's pretty much fixed. As far as pH testing and RO water, I'd do it but this is a serious budget grow. Was hoping it was something obvious to correct, sorry if the grow is too cheap.

Anyway, the other one is very healthy and that's enough for me.

Thanks.

EDIT: Topsoil is topsoil you buy from any garden section of a store. Just labeled "topsoil".

Uhh?

I guess.

Top soil is just the soil at the surface.

BTW if you fertilize with 2tsp of anything everywatering your gonna have some serious salt buildup by late flower.

Flush buddy. And dont water again till they need it.
