DWC Setup...

Hiya folks. My friend is building a DWC setup in a c13 cabinet. He isn't sure how high the screen should be from the top of the 10gallon lid cover. Its obviously a Scrog style grow. I'm sure many of you have seen the c13 scrog grows before. My friend is doing his the same way. I'll see if he will let me post some pics.

here is my c13 dwc scrog. its in my sig w/ the gf and the c99!

here's the screen filling up...

hope this helps you guys to build your cab. my res is a 14 gallon rubber made and some airstones and airpumps. the 14g container barely fits in the 13 cab and was great! check out my link for ideas. the screen i put i think was a lil bit more or around 12" from the top of the container, but you can put your screen wherever your setup requires. good luck  and have fun!

peace~

The wood frame holding the screen ideally sits right above the middle hing. My ladies over vegged this time so I raised it by about 3" this time.....
Have your buddy consider the DWC hybrid shown below. It really makes a big difference early on.

my screen is also right above the middle hinges. i also over vegged in that grow. dwc is really fast to grow! i'm doing soil right now and it don't compare! i wish i had gone dwc! oh well. good luck!

I gotta get some pics up for you guys. This setup is quite different. From the many readings I've done I have tried to take care of the issues people compained about. For example the fact that its hard to train. I think I fixed that one. We made it so the DWC tub sits in a frame/box that is on casters and it can be rolled out. The screen for the plants is attached to the same frame/box which holds the tub and therefore the plants can come out for easy training. Also this entire assemblely comes apart in 2 halfs. The screen has hooks and links up with some wires which are attached to pulley at the top of the cabinet and therefore can lift the screen/plants/lid of tub alowing you to take the DWC tub out by itsself.

I've been hitting a few bongs so sorry if my explanation is ass backwards. You will just have to wait till I get some pics for you folks.

Oh btw thanks for the help guys. I have set the gap from the top of the lid to the screen at 12". Hopefully thats enough. The way its built right now I don't have really have any adjustment. I also sacraficed some space given the way I built it.I used 2x2's to support the contruction of the cabinet because when it was together it felts very flimsy. I didn't like it very much.
