DWC question

So I am currently ending my 2nd week of flower and changing water tonight. My question is this, anyone else have problems keeping ppm up when you mix and add new water?

I ask this because it seems I am doing more than I should. I change water every 2 weeks, but since i am using Humboldt Nutes (master a & b) every time I make new water it is under the old's ppm. Don't get me wrong i am not trying to over nute my plants, but every 2 weeks and having to build up to the ppm recommended seems to be draining my amount of nutes.

I will add a pic on my scrogged out DWC under a 400. I mean she looks happy (maybe a little heat stress).

BTW for a newb (well haven't grown in like 10+ years) I find that multiple nute solutions to be a pain in the ass (mast A, mast B, prozime, mag and cal, ginormous, and liquid karma). Personally I wanna go back to a 3 part solution. 1 part being the nutes 2 parts being supplements.

you should be topping out at about 16 to 1900 ppm by the time there are done and it will go up if you are ending you 2nd week of flower your ppm should be about 900 to 1200 but it depends on strain to 8 w or longer and how well that plant can intake nutes also that brand of food might not raise the ppm that much make minimum strength and test ppm some are more concentrated then others

I control both EC and pH with straight tap water. I overfeed by 0.1 EC. Over two weeks, water level drops 4 gal, EC climbs, ph drops and 4 gal of tap water returns all 3 to their original starting points. I can go 12-15 weeks with no additional food or pH control. Now, I like sativas which are low feeders and grow a single plant in a 12 gal tub so, I can go on longer than most but, my point is, you just don't need to flush the system every other week.

EC up, pH down is too rich. EC down, pH up is too lean. Don't ask a chart what to do. The chart has never met you or your lamp, system, plant, medium etc. Your plants have all that info and they know exactly how much they want and they tell you every day through EC and pH readings. There's no reason to ask us to guess, the answer is right there in your journal.

Personally, I don't bother with supplements. GH micro and bloom leaves me with colas longer than your forearm with hand and fingers extended. And that under a 250

Yeah I have been thinking about not doing the flushing. Too tell the truth i mainly do it to keep out buildup. But I only usually get a little. That would definitely save me some work.

nah not really. just got a decent shop vac and water pump. one extra tub to mix and balance out my nutes in also. I "used" to actually move the grow bucket and pour the water out, but fuck that shit. 25 gal shop vac works fine to suck up the extra water the cheap water pump I have can't. Plus having a drain pipe near by helps.

My friend used to do a water bucket line to fill his up since he couldn't get a sink attachment. I just got a water pump and a long time which beats lugging 20 gallons of water back n forth.
