Closet space is approximately 3 x 5 but not uniform throughout. Just wondering if anybody knew of a container company that has a wide selection of large rubber containers and a variety of dimesion options.
Hi TTF, A room that size your gonna need a big tub! Check out Southern States,Farm and Tractor Supply etc. A fiberglass or heavy plastic horse trough would fit in there nicely! You can then put a plywood top on it and use a hole saw to cut your holes for net pots! It'll probably be 2 1/2' x 4' giveing you some room around the edges, where you can pull and tie your plants out and around the sides. Don't know what the cost would be, might be cheaper to use 2-3 big Rubbermaid tubs instead! Hope this helps!!!
I'm using the black 5 gallon buckets with the "net pot lids" that are 5 inch.
bucket was $2.50 each and net pot lid was $4.00 each, its a pretty slick system and I can move each bucket around if a plant needs better light, something the tubs cant do, also the roots in tubs will become tangled so you wont be able to turn the plant or move it around.
Lots of people have used the tubs and they work great, they can hold a lot of water. I think the buckets will work best for me.
Good luck and keep us informed.
Thanks all for your info, I ended up buying several tupperware containers and just playing around with the arrangement. To my delight the three Large Rubbermaids worked perfectly, and this was the setup I had theorized and used to determine much of the grow equiptment.
Finally have all the pieces to complete my master plan!
Once I get some batteries for the camera I'll do a fully updated post on my grow diary. Thanks again, hope to see you there.
A special shout out to Don C and Freezer Boy, hope you guys will stop by!
I found them at "Menards" its a home center in my neck of the woods.
$2.50 for 5 gallon black buckets! cant beat that.
good luck, we look forward to your pictures.
