No way of explaining the richness of the smell


Mahayana
The pathway to complete enlightenment it is said in some close circles .... So far only one indivdual cut couple of weeks ago slightly early, starting to cure. Outstanding meditational high that is creative, yet powerful... I am happy First phenotype smell, is a subtle mix of haze metallic worshop, grilled bread and perfume....

damn mistake in the title. Dutch still breed godesses. ooooooppssss... toooo much "enlightenment" tonight...

Plants were veg a little more than 3 weeks, in a crowdy environement; and put under 600W Hps (13 plants). BioCanna line, unfortunatly I was not aware you need to had calcium and magnesium... Hopefully did diagnose early enough, so most plants do not show the carences.

Mahayana - Phenotype 1


So far the strongest of the three as it seems. Pretty intense head high, with some nice body relaxation, long lasting high (2-3h). Piney, Hazy aromas with some kushy undertones, overall very good flavors.

Mayahana Phenotype 2

Similar hazy tones of the amnesia clone, with some lime, to me very similar to those coke-bottle shaped sweets... very resinous; but still nice smooth tasty smoke. Will report more with a little curing.

I certainly have to smoke some more of my Mahayana before I can give a definitive report. But man so far I am very impressed, and they are some of the nicest short flowering haze-leaning plants I had the chance to grow. I would even adventure to say that they would be a better choice than jack herer (if you can still get real seeds^^) for those who are more looking in the hazy phenotypes. For me it's like Hazy Jack Pheno; where you add some indica bud density, kushy undertones, while keeping the smoothness of the Jack. Potency is there and considering my pheno 1, I would say some selection would bring out some of the strongest hybrids that can be found. Only drawbacks are the tendency for hermie that I am sure Karma will solve for the next generation... For me no problem, I will certainly go for more seeds in a next future !

I will try to make some picts of the cured buds; now they are reaching a month and half.

Overall very good smoke, intense and tasty, every single plant is special and you will get what Karma says Imagine a cross between some of the tastiest hazy dominant Jack Herer with a less dominant kush, that's what you get with the mahayana !
Some hermie traits showing up at the end, so you gotta be aware, but I have seen no viable pollen, so for me it's not even an issue.

These days I smoke the phenotype 2, I keep the powerful one for special occasions, and it is interesting how it is showing up a kushy flavor after this short curing...

Hey browser, it is mahayana 3C has smaller calyxes. Still some caramello in the freezer, but the stronger version.
