Do they have the same tolerances there as they do in Europe?

Hey TK, St. Marten/St. Maartin is a wonderful place to be.
check out divi resorts beach (if it's still there, the beach) on little bay ? i think its little bay hmmm its been a while but ask a rasta... shy awasy from cabbies while down in the islands, there's safer ways such as beachboys! let someone else weigh in who's been there this decade

SmokeyDP: you should really check this out, i prefer giving my money to Americans, but hey i'm "ignint" i guess lol they list last minute specials on ebay too, i saw it once at 1800/wk check it:

private island (gilligans? looks like it! COOL!) sleeps as many as you can fit!
they have a house with a master bedroom and two others i believe on the island with a kitchen indoors AND a kitchen outdoors.
ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS , BHO!
"1 house, 2 kitchens...Who's bitchiin?"
shore house (mini mansion) sleeps 3 couples or a family of 4 (at least)
dock,fishing/tubing boat, kyaks etc
beaches
jeti (i think)
comes fuly stocked if you give them a list they shop for you, just bring luggage!
Then take yer boat to jamaica's orange hill and pig out (hunny i'm goin to jamaica for some bud be back later ya need anything? lol!)

It's not like the netherland (they still use guiders). The ganja is ilegal and expensive especialy if your a touriste.
Thanks to the war on drug you will find a lot of cocaine
Mostly the ganja you'll will find is St Vincent. A super long flowering sativa
Sint Marteen is a realy nice tiny island.
The beach like Mullet bay are beautifull.
The party at Maho Beach at the Bliss or the sunset are crazy.
The restaurant in St martin/ Sint Marteen are so good
It's also an island with a lot of tolerance. Peopole on this "rock" come from all over the word. 80 nationalities
The island of "sex" drug and rock'n roll
a bit like Las Vegas ( a bit smaller)
enjoy your holiday

So St.Vincent would be better than St.Marteen as far as attitude and possible smoke?

Red = pretty toker friendly, as long as you don't flaunt it.
Blue = A bit more laid back, no one going to say anything for enjoying a spliff on the beach.
Magenta = US Virgin Is/territories of the USA....be mighty careful in those.

The islands are very accustomed to tourists and what some tourists like to smoke
on their vacation, so while it may be illegal and even highly enforced in some places
against the locals who live there, they usually take a bit of a blind eye to tourists
enjoying the odd spliff in private on a beach.

Oh, I used to run with a travel agent and she would go on those "FAM" (familiarization) tours and vacations all the time, it was nice because you could tag along real cheap.

Cayman has amazing coral reefs Zepp, imo EVERYONE should hit up the Cay 1 time or another.
be sure to check out the scuba there and the jewelery is nice (big selection)

St Vincent is another island down south. Really diferent place. It's really green a lot of rain forest. Waterfall. One of the last island with Indians
Few tourism, a strong rasta culture.
They do grow a lot there. And most of the ganja come from there or around there.
And sometimes St Vincent mean this kind of sativa Who migth have come from St lucia for example.
Going to the growing area is not easy.
For smoking a lot for cheap in some really roots condition it might be the place

For fiesta, beach, entertainent Sint Marteen is the place

Texas Kid- St Marteen is a wonderful island, i was fortunate enough to deliveer a boat down there, we arrived a little early and got to spend some time on both sides of the island. There was no problem finding some green to puff on, remember you gotta play the game with them and negotiate alittle bit. I enjoyed the resturants and nightlife on the french side a little more, had some character to it. The dutch side was nice, beaches are not quite as windy there, but it seems to be a little more built up like a cheesy american beach. There are some great beaches on the french side. be sure to ask the local help where they go out to party. there is an awesome bar on the dutch side right off the pond, my memory is a little fuzzy can't remeber the name. Anyways have a great time, enjoy the islands.

dude i know this is old (2 years +) but i wanted to add that sxm is a open port, there are no customs when you land at Juliana airport! You get off the plane, go through immigration, collect your luggage (no checks, no customs officers) and just walk the fuck out of there... it's a trip! you can score amsterdam buds, but they are mad expensive... i paid somewhere to the tune of $50 for 2- 2.5 grams of "dro", as the locals called it...i lived in the caribbean, and plan to move back there soon... there are other islands where insanely good dank can be found for cheap... in nearby st. kitts for example an ounce of some organic dank grown sensi by a bobo rasta runs for 55- 80 bucks depending on time of year and strain....
