A trio of Skywalker females 8 weeks into veg.

Dutch Passion Skywalker:
Info from http://dutch-passion.nl
Blueberry (1st prize HTCC 2000, 3rd prize HTCC 2001) and Mazar (2nd prize HTCC 1999, 2nd price High Life Cup 2002) are the two unbeatable Indicas in our seed collection. Skywalker is a hybrid product of a Mazar female and a Blueberry male. The intention was to create one of the best Indicas in the world. The special Blueberry taste and aroma are combined in this hybrid with the vigor and yield of Mazar. Blueberry characteristics such as “curling leaves”, slow initial growth, and bluish hues have disappeared in this hybrid, while taste, aroma (fruity and fresh), and the quality of the “high” are retained. Grown from clones at “Sea of Green”, these seeds will yield about 400 gr./m2 under optimum conditions.
THC: 12%

flowering period: 8 - 9 weeks
harvest time outdoor: 2nd week Nov.

This was our first grow. Started with 9/10 germinated feminized seeds. Put all of them directly into a Gen. Hydro Ecogrower. GH Flora nutrients. Vegged for 8 weeks, flowered for a little over 8 weeks. Here are the pictures from flowering in chronological order:

Cured for 7 days using a bag method. These smelled fruity and light, with the fragrance from the Blueberry really coming through. It gave a deep, stony high that lingered for hours. One plant really produced, but had a mold infection late into flowering that stunted resin production and caused it to herm. The other had magnificent resin production but was a little lacking on the yield. Overall, we were pleased with our first harvest. A few seeds were found from the hermed plant (which may have been the cause of the lacking yield), but nothing too bad, and we planted and grew those as well.

Now working on the second grow with much better location and hardware. Chocolate Diesel and Original Blueberry. Just put them into flower yesterday, so I'll be back in 8 weeks.

awsome dude I just bought the ecogrower and a 400 w hps yesterday. Just got bagweed seeds for I have never grown hydro before and wanted practice before I drop $$ into beans. I was really glad to see that someone posted their results. By any chance how much weight did u get? I will be posting picts as soon as seeds germinate.

im gonna try skywalker in 2008 soon as i arrive back home....cant wait and thanx for sharing, but yeh, what light, yield....oh and did they smell much during growth or are they good for stealth growing, cos thats what im after....a low smell grow this time.

peace, i love pics.

Hi omigosh I saw your question about hermi seeds.I hope ya don't mind me putting in my two cents of practice with hermi's ..... Well , first off, if you can find or use other seeds or clones this would be a wiser choice. But, if it's some bad a$$ bud you just can't say no to or if that's all you can get a hold of then let me give some pointers.

hermi seeds WILL be all female, while that is cool and all unfortunitly most i mean like 9 out of 10 WILL hermi(that means a whole crop of seeds instead of buds). And of coarse that's a bad thing(unless you just want a bunch more hermi seeds). so the best way to go about this that I have found is to grow out 15-20 of them clone them all and label, grow big and start budding them. as they bud stress them a little bit, just a lil you don't want to kill any of them.Adding a little light 1-2 times a week for a few hours during night time usually does the trick.find (if there is one) a plant(s) that does not show any sign of hermi.keep the clones of that plant and throw out the rest.Finish grow and do a very deep cleaning of everything as the pollen will get all over and ruin your next crop. after all clean use your new clone as a mom for more clones or just bud those. This still does not mean it hermi proof but, chances are a lot better. And if she does hermi it might just be a single flower. This is why I say it's best to go a diffrent direction, but it's up to you.Alot of work but can be well worth it in the end.I speak from doing this myself. hope this helps.

peace and happy growing

Wow, sorry it's been awhile since I last checked in with ICmag, so to answer a few questions:

400W HPS over the ecogrower, yielded about three dried ounces from the two plants, so approximately .2 grams per watt. Definitely room for improvement (since this grow I've gone through Choco D, Hashberry, Blockhead, and some Blueberry. Gets better every time, I'm up to around .4 gr/watt at this point.)

hunter: The ecogrower/400W is a great little closet setup. A word of advice, pick up a small inline pump to change the nutes, KEEP ON TOP OF THE WATER LEVEL, the ecogrower does an amazing job of producing root mass and your plants will suck down gallons a day. Toward the end I was topping off twice a day.

This was definitely an easy strain to grow. The lessons I learned: make sure to keep the humidity low and have plenty of ventilation, don't feed them too much. Otherwise, a very vigorous and lively strain. It just explodes with growth after the first few weeks.

I would advise this strain to anyone, novice to expert.

It wasn't the stinkiest strain in the world, but it did produce a fair amount of fragrance.

I don't think it would be too wise to plant a seed that was produced on the hermed plant, but I got seeds off of the other girl, who was healthy. It's the same way they produced the femmed seeds at DP anyhow (pollen from a hermi used to pollinate another female plant). None of the offspring showed any signs of weakness.
