I would love to try the gold line with the pure flowers but cant find any in my area. Does anyone know any stores in durham or east of Toronto that carry the line? Thanks.

My next test will be aqua-flakes, vs Gold, so I'll let you know. I can already tell you that gold is blooming much better than the Lucas formula. My lucas 0g's are mg deficed. After 3 days without using calmg+ and additional Epsom salts. I'm seriously considering re topping these 1 more time and adding my usual suspects; calmg+, Epsom salt, big bud when the time is right, and finishhing up with hygrozyme n a hardener/ripener like kookbloom or OD.
I have seen and heard both good n bad about H&G. I believe they have some clever marketing and niche products that do work. I'm using roots excelurater and love it. My buddy says multi-zym and bud XL were identical products but they convince you to use it twice in different bottles. I'm unsure if it's true or not, but any mild pk boost w L-aminos will do the trick with plenty of derrived humics n fulvics.

Aqua Flakes has been my choice of nutes for the past year and half. Now I am running gold. Next time, half the tables will get gold the other half aqua flakes. The shooting powder is a solid product. The top booster is just pk13/14. I thought the bud xl was just H & G version of Bio Bizz's "Top Booster"

im running the full line of hg right now and so far it is really solid.. the thing i love about it is how clean it is, there is no salt buildup whatsoever, and makes res changes a breeze.. like i said i have not started flowering yet so we will see how it goes, but i just love how easy it is to use..

i think i am going to pick up some gold for my other place and see how it goes, i can tell you guys know your plant chemistry and know whats up so im not gonna take your opinions with a grain of salt like i do the goof balls at the hydro store lol

Is that the new chloramine add??? I bought an RO to rid chloramine. The product scares me more than superbud or whatever had paco in it, but I'm all ears..

Not sure whats in it tbh. I think its an upgraded Max. Chelating agent if I remember correctly.

Cap'n with so many new super chelates, poly amino alcohols and good ol humic n fulvic will make trichs and use even less base. I heard DM doesn't encourage humics, but I don't see what a little hydroplex will do but maybe it's time to try pure flowers.

Ok, good, a humic derivitive, as I said I figured if it wasn't the chloramine add, it had to be humic/fulvic. I just wonder what the % is. Everyone gets away with 1-3%. I just picked up some flavorful from HN as it was 9% fulvic. Should work well.

I just got new bottles of gold and the NPK has changed. My last batch was:
A) 4.5-0-6.5
B) .5-5.3-6.3

New batch:

A) 4-0-4
B) 0-3-5

Why the change???

The DM change in NPK ratios is merely them using the metric,euro,or american system to measure the NPK's but that it is the EXACT same stuff in the new bottle as the old..If anyone has heard different please speak up,but that came from the DM tech line,the changes in the numbers in any measurement don't make much sense if it is the same stuff though ?..I have used both and couldn't tell much difference,except with the new stuff I had to start using a cal-mag supplement,but that could of been the strains I'm growing

Been growing for over 10years,always in hydro using rockwool,and hands down I have grown the biggest and most potent buds using DM gold

Just recently set-up 2 rez's in my grow to play around using some additives in one rez and running just base in the other too see if any improvements can be made,not that they are needed,LOL,but just for my own research

Heres another crop that was fed DM gold at 1/2 TSP PER GALLON (300ppm)!!! plus i used cal-mag, big bud, Liquid Karma, silica, sweet and overdrive. Not too bad for 300 ppm of base nutes all the way thru...

In regards to zone killing hygrozyme..
I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure it WILL..making the hygrozyme worthless.

EDIT - the above statement is false.
Zone will kill beneficial bacteria, but they enzymes would be a'OK.

Damn Cheeb, if that's the case I'm wasting alotta dough on Hygrozyme. Or maybe on the Zone. I reuse my medium, hence the Hygrozyme. Can you point me in the direction of some info on this subject?
